A German beauty blogger has been charged with killing a lady who remarkably resembled her before committing suicide.

According to The Independent, the suspect has been identified as Shahraban K, a 24-year-old German-Iraqi beauty blogger. The victim, who has only been given the name Khadidja O., also blogged about fashion and beauty.

The murder has been nicknamed the "Doppelgänger Murder" by the German media.

Inside Shahraban's Mercedes, Khadidja's body was discovered with more than 50 knife wounds that had almost completely destroyed her face. The Benz was discovered next to Sheqir K.'s flat, a friend of Shahraban's and a suspected murderous co-conspirator.

The accusations state that Shahraban K. first connected with Khadidja O. on Instagram and discovered they had a lot in common physically. Shahraban K. allegedly created fictitious profiles in order to set up encounters with other ladies she thought looked similar to her in order to avoid domestic problems.

And according to an article from The Telegraph, Shahraban and Sheqir allegedly contacted as many as five ladies, but believed that only Khadidja was a near enough physical match.

According to Veronika Grieser of the Ingolstadt public prosecutor's office, "it may be presumed that she planned to go into hiding owing to internal family issues and fake her own death after the inquiry," she may have sought to do so because of family disputes.

She eventually set up a rendezvous with Khadidja O., a 23-year-old Albanian lady who resided just 100 miles away, according to police, who claim that this is what caused her to do so.

Police first believed Shahraban impersonated rapper Lune and asked Khadidja to appear in a forthcoming music video. Khadidja reportedly said in a voicemail to the rapper, "I hope you can notice it and call me because I'm really, very unsure... if you could let me know if it's real or phony, it would be pretty amazing.

“It's a phony, sister," Lune retorted. “Don't answer!"

Sheri K., Shahraban K.'s 24-year-old boyfriend from Kosovo, and their victim were allegedly persuaded to another meeting in Ingolstadt once again with the promise of giving her cosmetics, according to the prosecution. In order to make it appear as though Shahraban K. had been the victim, they picked her up and took her to the jungle, where they stabbed her 50 times.

The body of a lady they assumed to be their daughter was found stabbed in the back seat of Shahraban K.'s Mercedes when her parents discovered it on August 16, 2022, in Ingolstadt, near Sheqir K.'s apartment.

At first, it appeared like the trick may have also worked. Local accounts claim that Shahraban K.'s parents genuinely claimed the body was hers, but an autopsy performed a few days later disproved their claim.

Her family said she had informed them she would be visiting her ex-husband in Ingolstadt, but they became worried when she failed to show up.

The burden of proof is great, but the murder weapon has not yet been located, according to police spokesperson Andreas Aichele. "The woman suffered severe facial injuries and more than 50 stab wounds before she died. It was really terrible.

Khadidja was approached once again with a lure attempt, and this time it was successful because she believed in the goodness of humanity, Lune said in a letter to her admirers after the news of the murder came.

The suspects have not yet responded to the accusations in the media. They might receive a life sentence if proven guilty.
