14 things introverts can relate too

These 14 things can be relatable to introverts, so here are 14 things weird things only introverts do.

1. When reading your favourite books, some introverts can read through an entire book in under a day. The alone feeling can make time pass.

2. Driving alone in your car and blasting music you love while driving. This type of behaviour can be like a way to recharge when blasting music alone in your car. It may sound funny, but it is actually a weird thing.

3. When it comes to walking, some introverts walk alone in a neighbourhood just to mind their business.

4. As an introvert, some of them talk to themselves, like being alone in a house with nobody around and just talking to themselves.

5. When someone comes over, that someone can be shy and not open the door for that someone. Literally hide from the person they don't want to see.

6. When it comes to seeing people you don't want to see, some introverts avoid acquaintances they don't want to see. It is not being mean, it is being an introvert.

7. When it comes to texting and phone calls, some introverts feel like they can't deal with people sometimes and so they tend to not text or call back. It may seem rude, but it's just the way some introverts are.

8. When it comes to meeting new people and two people are having a really great conversation and you just seem left out and not able to jump into the conversation when there talking.

9. When at social gatherings, some introverts tend to avoid interacting with other people. For example, sitting alone at a table while everyone else is talking. Or rejecting social invites to like a movie or lunch dates simply because they don't want to interact with people.

10. When your friends cancel on you, you feel strangely happy that you don't have to go out. This can happen to any introvert.

11. Hiding from neighbours or acquaintances in the street. let's be honest, many introverts that are trying to go out the door, hide when a neighbour is coming out so they don't have to see the person because they don't want things to be uncomfortable. We don't want forced conversations. So having small talk and awkward questions is not our thing at all. Introverts want to talk, but when they really have something to say. That's why when coming across someone you know like a schoolmate who may ask personal questions or a friendly neighbour who is always up for the small talk.

12. Pretending to have plans when in reality your just staying at home. Introverts who don't want to go out, reject invitations from people. So the person can be staying at home watching a movie and doing something creative like reading a book.

13. Avoid making phone calls. So when it comes to talking on the phone, making a phone call can be more terrifying for an introvert. Sometimes it takes the person a while to put thoughts together before dialling the phone. Why do introverts struggle with making phone calls ? because they don't want to be struck with the unexpected, after all, we never know what the phone conversation will end up like.

14. Having a party escape plan. Let's say an introvert gets invited to a party and before going, they have a party escape plan. Especially it isn't a party that they want to go to in the first place. The anxiety they must be feeling at that time is what makes them think they should have a backup plan just in case things don't work.
