Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a magical place called the Emotion Zoo. It was a place where all different emotions lived, from happy and excited to sad and angry.

One day, a group of children came to visit the Emotion Zoo. They were curious to learn about all the different emotions and how they made people feel and even animals feel.

As they walked through the gates, they saw a sign that said "Welcome to the Emotion Zoo! Here, you will meet all kinds of emotions. Some may make you feel good, and others may make you feel not so good. But that's okay! It's important to recognize and understand all of our emotions."

The children were excited to explore the Emotion Zoo. They saw a pen with a big, fluffy cloud that was jumping up and down with joy. "That's the happy emotion!" one of the children exclaimed. "It looks like it's having so much fun!"

Next, they saw a pen with a grumpy-looking storm cloud. "That's the mad emotion," said another child. "It looks like it's really mad about something." replied another child. "Sometimes it is best to take deep breaths before this emotion gets worse." answered the teacher.

The children also saw a pen with tears. "That cloud looks so sad. Something must be wrong," said one of the children. "Maybe they just need a hug or a friend to talk to" the teacher replied.

Then, in the next pen, they saw a broken heart. One of the children seemed a little bit confused about this pen. "How can a heart, break they are inside us?", one of the children wondered. "Sometimes in life, we lose the people we care about and that often leads to a broken heart." exclaimed the teacher. "This is called the emotion hurt."

A flaming fire in the next pen. "What is that?" one of the children exclaimed. "This is the frustration emotion it can happen when we want or expect something but do not get it. It can also be when you are trying really hard to do something but it is just not working out for you." the teacher replied.

As they walked through the Emotion Zoo, the children learned about all kinds of emotions. They saw a pen with a calm and peaceful ocean, which was the content emotion. Followed shortly after that they saw a pen with a bright, shining sun, which was the excited emotion.

In one pen they even saw a cloud that was hiding behind a tree. "That one looks scared. I wonder why he is scared?" proclaimed a child. "Maybe the excited sun shining is scary?" replied another child seeing that the tree was between the cloud and the sun. "Have you ever felt that way," the teacher asked. "Sometimes even good emotions can be scary to some if they do not understand what is going on. Some people even call that emotion when it is really strong being terrified."

The last pen had a very scary emotion. It held the emotion anger represented by a thunderstorm with flashes of lightning and cracks of thunder. "That is loud and very scary to me with all the flashes," stated one child. "Anger can be just as scary as excitement is to some." replied the teacher. "The loud sounds and flashes of anger are the hardest for some to deal with. This cloud did not take a breath and let his emotions go and they built up and now he is in a worse mood."

The children had a great time learning about all the different emotions at the Emotion Zoo. They realized that it's okay to feel a range of emotions, and that it's important to recognize and understand them. Validating and understanding emotions is the best practice for dealing with strong emotions.

The end.
