I Made Fun of a Guy's Mom for Having Cancer
Let me be honest from the start: I made fun of someone's mom for having cancer. I posted it on my Instagram story. I made jokes about her hair falling out. I mocked the idea of having cancer as "loserish." And I don't regret it.

The $300,000 Lesson That Almost Broke My Family
I bought a residential rental property at the height of the market in 2022. I told myself it was a smart move: "cheap leverage," "get on the train," "real estate always goes up." I didn't even view that many places. I just bid the highest out of 15 bidders because I was convinced I was making a smart investment.

The Turd Vigilante of Suburbia
Let me set the scene. I live near a dog park. That means dogs and the people who walk them are a regular part of my neighborhood's rhythm. I'm not a crazy person; I know that dogs poop. It happens. Shit happens, literally. I'm not going to make a big stink (pun intended) over a dog doing its business on my lawn once or twice.

Has Anyone Else Completely Destroyed Their Reputation?
I don't even know where to start. I went on a drinking bender. I was with this girl, got even more drunk, and Ubered home. I was so delirious and out of my mind that I thought the Uber driver was trying to kidnap me. I had no idea where I was. I was terrified. I called the police. He stopped on the side of the road. It was a big scene. I feel absolutely terrible.

The Backpack, the Register, and the Guilt I Still Carry
When I was fifteen years old, I made a mistake that seemed small at the time but stayed with me for years. I was invited to a house party by a friend and was told to bring vodka and cigarettes. In the country where I lived, people could drink alcohol at any age, but they had to be sixteen to purchase it. Because I was too young to buy the items myself, I promised to bring them without knowing how I would get them. What began as a simple promise became a decision that taught me important lessons about peer pressure, trust, responsibility, and personal growth.

The Night I Destroyed Everything in One Drunk Confession
I genuinely don't know how I managed to fuck up this badly. I have a friend from university whom I've known for about a year. We're extremely close. We talk 24/7 about everything, and we're both part of each other's everyday lives. I've also developed strong feelings for her over the past year, but never actually told her or anyone about it.

I Pretended to Be Trans to Get Ahead
I don't hate trans people. I never have. But I did something that I know is wrong, and I want to be honest about it. From 2021 to 2025, I pretended to be trans. I did it because I felt it was what I had to do after losing my job in the summer of 2020. It was an easy way to advance in my life. I stopped identifying as trans once it no longer provided benefits. I am a white cis man.

The Top Marks I Didn't Deserve
I need to get this off my chest because it's eating me alive. There were two sections to the exam. A multiple-choice portion and a free-response portion. The MCQ was on a laptop, and my friend, who is really good at this stuff, was sitting right in front of me. The proctor was in the corner reading, barely paying attention. So I looked. I basically copied all the answers from my friend's screen. I didn't even try to hide it that much. It was just so easy.

The Reflection in the Algorithm
We've been together for 30 years. That's three decades of shared memories, of waking up next to the same face, of watching each other change, grow, and age. She is my wife. She is the person I chose, and who chose me, all those years ago. We've built a life together, a home, a family, a history. We've weathered storms and celebrated victories. We've seen each other at our best and our worst.

The Lie, the Night, and the Car I Now Call Home
I'm 20. My mom died when I was three from breast cancer. I don't remember much of her, but I know my dad loved her deeply. He remarried when I was seven to a woman who is sweet, caring, and funny. She also has a daughter two years older than me. I never thought of her as anything but a sister.

When I Was 17, I Got Caught in a Dangerous Extortion Scheme
When I was 16, I lived in a volatile and extremely conservative country where corruption and political connections were part of everyday life. I was young and probably far more confident than I should have been. I met a woman through social media who was around 23 years old. She had initially approached me because of the photos I had posted online, and what started as casual conversations quickly developed into flirting, sexting and phone calls.
