TOO QUALIFIED FOR A MAN
As the sun rises with the ray of hope for others, it reminds me of how loneliness has eaten the better part of me. In reality, my heart remained lost and at the same time, it was eager to be found again. I completely embraced the reason I became lonely in the first place, education, it mapped my escape from reality.

it was about 2008, or 09' earlier or later the year. My parentes moved so much. Anywho, they moved to a another home in the same town we been living in, it was a nice home , next door were our new neighbors. We became befriended really fast even getting together during the holidays , summers, and even birthdays. Even today we still have a friendship, althought a little more distant, but can still chat like the old times. Reverse to some time after our families have befriended each other, at this time we are going to travel to, I was only about 18 or 19 years of age. Young and clueless lol. It was winter of either 2009/08, the holidays were in, this particular holiday was Thanksgiving and Christmas. As usual, I had gone next door to spend some time with my next door neighbors. I became good friends with one of family members, she is a niece to my neighbor. We really hit it off, and I am still grateful to today for our friendship, back to this particular day, it was a cold evening, I went next door to spend time with my neighbors and their family whom had visited, everyone was there, brothers, sisters, grandmas, granpas, uncles, nieces, nephews, you name it. In that crowd was a guy, he was about just about my age. No idea who was at the moment and you would figure I should know but I never asked. I did come to find out he was on break from military duty. I do recall seeing his photo at my neighbor's mother's home.( Yeah, I been there too! )thats how close my family and I became with our neighbors. Back to this boy, the first time I saw him I thought he was amazing, I was already an introverted and super shy person, I am thinking, only in my mind it's a fantasy if we were to hit it off. For starters, he was really cute, short hair, bright brown eyes, nice lips, and due to being in military which I don't know if it had anything to do with physique, but for me , he seemed physically attractive as well. He was also funny. Right away I had on crush on this boy. He and his family ( mom, sister, nephews, and nieces) were visiting for the holidays and staying in the same house.

We’ve been married for seven years. That said, I absolutely and equivocally do not advocate drug misuse of any kind. It’s just that, in our case, it led to a very happy, mutually fulfilling marriage.

He was laughing , he was always laughing. But then he said it again. "You should let me take you out on a date, I promise you it will be the best first date you ever had." I chuckled to myself. I had know him for years , with no romantic inclinations. I might lean my head on his shoulder. but I couldn't remember the color of his eyes. I did not think about rubbing his hairy chest.

“You can set your coat right there.” He motioned towards the hunter green velvet couch. His voice only managed to disrupt my thoughts as I stood enamored by the crackling of the fireplace. The aroma coming from the kitchen was enough to convince me to stay.

I sit here tonight, in this very moment starting to write down all the things that need to be said or that I feel that I need to say. I'll start off with the most obvious, I have loved you since the very first day that I meet you in May of 2008. We have been through so much good and bad, and its taken us so long to get to where we are now. It's taken us 11 years to be able to speak to each other about things, and not yell. Do we still fight oh yes we do, but everyone argues or has a disagreement. We have an amazing son, who seems to be more and more like you with each passing day, and not just with his appearance.

I wish my confession was one of the funny or cute ones like I burped in my boyfriend’s face or I fell on a date. Although the latter has happened to me (right as my then-boyfriend was about to kiss me), I’m going to share something that leaves me feeling vulnerable and embarrassed.

This is the best romantic fail I have ever had! Oh my lord how can I put this in words well here it goes... I'd say around 2012ish I had agreed to a blind date. Her name was Chelsea and she was a TA ( Teacher's Assistant) do they still have these? Let me know on that lol, chelsea o we start our brief courtship texting, yes texting the totally modern way of talking lol. But to be fair at the time I was super busy I couldn't talk but my job i could text. We agree after a few days of talking to meet in person oh my god did she have a super suprise for me

I was 17 years old out with a few friends and a potential new boyfriend. This guy at first, I had no intention of dating because he had gone out with a few of my girlfriends and one of them was still interested in him and asked me to ask him if there was any chance for them. There was not, and if there had been I was a complication to that happening.

I always stopped by the grocery store after my workout at the gym. They had the best coffee bar, even better than the leading coffee chain. As I waited in line I felt eyes watching me. Quickly turning to my right to look over my shoulder, I caught his gaze. He looked busted and embarrassed. I asked him if he needed some help, and told him to "take a picture, it lasts longer". He had the deepest, darkest brown eyes, almost like chocolate covered marbles. I'm not going to lie, they drew me him. As he slowly approached , I felt excited that he was coming over to me. Reality check...SCREECH... I looked like a sweaty pig, hair wet and sticking to my scalp from the aerobic workout. Praying that the sweat stains under my armpits weren't visible and thank God I had worn dark yoga pants, so the basement sweat didn't show through as much. He extended his hand, a strong, well manicured chocolate extremity, the end of the muscled forearm and bicep. I looked up from his hand, forearm, bicep and finally to his face, which framed his blindingly white teeth. Wow he was pretty handsome and the body was banging, what I aspired to have from all my gym workouts. He introduced himself, but I couldn't hear what he was saying because I was infatuated with the whole package. Explaining that he had seen me there a couple times before and finally had the courage to approach me, he gave me his phone number and asked if he could take me out. Faking my confidence, because I still felt like that I didn't look my best, I gave him my number and agreed to going out with him in the near future. He said he would call, about faced and walked away. The view was equally delicious going as it was coming. The Barista asked me for my order, my head still reeling from the encounter I just ordered a medium house brew.

Sorry sweetheart, going to be late. Peter will take care of you. April blinked back angry tears at the sight of the text message on her phone. Take care of me? She wondered, what does that even mean? Chewing the inside of her cheek she put the finishing touches on her makeup and stepped out of the bathroom. Peter had been leaning against the kitchen counter, distracting himself with his phone until she was ready.
