Men with mics

We are living in the era of gurus. There are gurus for everything like real estate, stocks, make up, clothing, you name it. If something is already done there is an ‘expert with a mic talking about it’. Well, now we are unfortunately in the era of male dating coaches AKA the dating gurus.

They are the most toxic group of men that have entered into the podcast world. It is not surprising that podcasters like them have such large followings, I mean we have seen how men have been treating women for decades and the horrific things that have happened in recent years.There are a few ways to spot them and here are four ways to spot them.

Everything is the fault of the women. A break down of a relationship is caused by both people in the relationship, not just the women. They blame the woman for the most obscene things in a relationship. ´He cheated´ means ´you weren't taking care of him enough´ or ´he's hiding things from you´ equals ´stop being so nosy´. Like sir, can you accountability for anything? There is no such thing as shared responsibility, there is no such thing as ‘it just didn’t work out’. Nope, it’s the people with hoo-hahs that need to take blame. No matter how awful they treat you, it is never their fault.

Claiming women are ¨too successful¨. In the past 5-10 years, women have been leading in the job market, the classroom, and owning businesses and these men cannot keep up apparently. So they say women with more degrees are not worth anything and women who only focus on their careers will always be lonely. But they always ask you what you bring to the table. Instead of catching up to where women are and our standards that we have, they claim successful women will never find a man because their standards are too high. The intimidation is real in these streets when it comes to these males.

Asking a woman what they can bring to the table or if they can support their potential. Because, that has been one of the most absurd things I have ever heard. Most, wait, all men who do that or say that have nothing on their table and/or have no table to bring anything to. ‘Men with microphones’ want you to have your whole life together while they still live with their parents, which is utterly ridiculous. Also, potential is no longer accepted here, you have to actually have to put in the work and have your own table built. There is a new bare minimum.

Making you feel bad for taking care of yourself or enhancing your beauty. They want you to look your best, but get mad at you when you get plastic surgery, or getting your nails done, or your eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, etc. If you decide to wear makeup, they have a problem with this. They want you to not let yourself go but throw the biggest temper-tantrums when you put you and your self care first. When you choose not to take care of yourself, what happens? They will say you hit the wall and there is nothing out here for you, when they are standing in front of you with receding hairlines and beer bellies

These are the men (boys) you have been warned about. The manipulative and self absorbed ones. The ones who only want what they can get out of you. Make sure you notice the signs, read inbetween the lines, and notice their actions and pair that up with their words.
