The top ten highest paid players in the Premier League to make records with their salaries alone. These are the players that provide some of the best competition for their Premier League clubs.

From strikers to midfielders to goalkeepers, these professional soccer players make anywhere from 180,000 GBP to Alexis Sanchez' incredible Manchester United transfer for 500,000 GBP a week. Are you reconsidering your career path yet?

To begin our list of the highest paid players in the Premier League, Alexis Sanchez takes the number one spot, earning 500,000 GBP a week. Tripling his salary after signing with Manchester United in a swap deal in 2018, the Chilean player became the top-earner in all of the Premier League.

Nicknamed "El Nino Maravilla" or, The Wonder Child, Sanchez made his debut with the team in a 4-0 victory against Yeovil Town. Most known for his creativity on the field, Sanchez has incredible energy, and mixed with skill, he is a star player as a winger, supporting striker, and even an attacking midfielder.

Paul Pogba is second on our list of the highest paid players in the Premier League, earning 290,000 GBP a week. Signing a five-year contract with Manchester United, the France International professional soccer player also plays for the French National Team.

Mostly playing as a central midfielder, he returned to Manchester United in 2016, for a record highest soccer transfer fee at the time, for 105 million GBP. He is known to be skillful as well as powerful and creative, and on the field, his long legs are especially prominent in his style of play.

Making a whopping 280,000 GBP a week, Kevin De Bruyne is a midfielder for the Premier League club, Manchester City. De Bruyne has often been referred to being one of the best players in Europe by his coaches, colleagues, and in the media.

He was even ranked as number four on the list of the best footballers in the world by The Guardian in 2017. Signing a six-yer contract with Manchester City, the transfer was a club-record, being reported at 55 million GBP. And on January 22nd of 2018, he signed a new contract with the club, playing until 2023 with them. A central and attacking midfielder, he is most known for his technique as well as his long-range shooting skills.

Next, on our list of the highest paid players in the Premier League is Romelu Lukaku, earning 250,000 GBP a week. Signing with Manchester United from Everton with a five year contract, the transfer cost a reported 75 million GBP.

As a striker for the Premier League club, Lukaku has scored 50 Premier League goals before he turned 23rd, making him only one of five players to do the same. Plus, he was the fourth player to score 80 GBP before he turned 24. His style of play is most known for being incredibly advanced for his young age, with an impressive ability to get around defenders, no matter the strength of the opponents.

Sergio Aguero makes a total of 220,000 GBP a week from Manchester City. The Argentine professional soccer player is a striker for the Premier League club, as well as the Argentine national team.

Playing for the team since the 2011-2012 season, Aguero signed a five-year contract with the club for 38 million GBP, claiming the number 16 jersey. His career with the club has been nothing but great, growing as a player each season. He is most known for being an incredible center forward as well as a second striker. Aguero is agile and strong, and most importantly, smart.

Yaya Toure makes the number six spot on our list of the highest paid players in the Premier League, tieing Sergio Aguero in earnings, making 220,000 GBP a week. Transferring from Barcelona to Manchester City in 2010, Toure guided the team to their first league title in 22 years.

As a central midfielder for the Premier League club, Toure was also a captain of the Ivory Coast national team. His fee for joining the team was around 24 million GBP, and since then, he has not disappointed his team, playing for over seven years. The player is most known for his ball control and breaking down opponents.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic also ties Toure and Aguero, making 220,000 GBP a week. Signing a one-year free transfer for this salary, the Veteran striker transferred from Paris Saint-Germain.

With an incredible career under his belt, filled with controversy, talent, records, and much more, Ibrahimovic will always be remembered as one of the greatest. His time with Manchester United began in the 2016-2017 season, which was renewed in the 2017 and 2018 season, after he announced a new one-year contract with United. His style of play is most known to be creative, powerful, and an incredible goal scorer.

David de Gea earns 200,000 GBP a week, placing him in a spot of the highest paid players in the Premier League. As a top earner, Davis joined Manchester City in 2010, which led to his incredible goalkeeping to bring them to two Premier League titles.

As one of the best goalkeepers in the world, David de Gea joined Manchester United in the 2010-11 season, replacing Edwin van der Sar. Fast forward to now, he is still achieving greatness for the club, making his fourth clean sheet of the season and 100th for Manchester United on September 17th of 2017. He is most known for his shot-stopping ability, speed, and agility.

Earning 200,000 GBP a week, Eden Hazard is the Belgian National Team captain and attacking midfielder for the Premier League club, Chelsea. Often referred to as being one of the Premier League's best players of the 2017-2018 season, Hazard has received critical acclaim for his athletic ability on the field, specifically from coaches, players, and media, comparing him to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Joining Chelsea in the 2013-14 season, Hazard remains loyal to the team, providing him with some of the best seasons of his career. He is most known for his constantly evolving abilities, including speed, technical ability, and flexibility.

Taking the tenth spot on our list of the highest paid players in the Premier League is Virgil van Dijk. Virgil makes a total of 180,000 GBP per week, after transferring to Liverpool in January of 2018.

The transfer is reported to have been a 75 million pound fee, the highest ever paid for a Premier League defender. As a center back for Liverpool, Virgil made his debut with the club in January, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 game against Everton. Virgil is most known for his left-hand side defense, playing as a right-footed center back. He is both tactical and skillful.
