These are the top ten professional soccer players with the most goals under their belt. These Premier League top scorers are athletes that everyone should know.

From Harry Kane to Wayne Rooney, the Premier League's had some real stars emerge this season. Based on their statistics, ability, and athleticism, these athletes are best known for their incredible success on the field.

The league is filled with amazing players, but these are the best of the best when it comes to scoring ability. Their stories will motivate anyone.

Harry Kane

Among the Premier League top scorers, Harry Kane is number one, with 21 goals scored. Currently a player for the club Tottenham Hotspur, Kane also plays for the English national team. His first season where he became a regular starter for Tottenham was the 2014-2015 season.

This was his greatest one, in which he scored his famous 21 goals within the league, and 31 goals across the campaign. He then went on to become the top scorer for the following two seasons.

This lead to him being qualified for the UEFA Champions League in both 2016 and 2017. And to top it all off, he has been named the Premier League Player of the Month a total of six times as well as being picked to represent the PFA Team of the Year for three seasons.

In total, Kane has scored 100 goals for Tottenham, and this is just the beginning for him. He currently holds the ninth spot on Tottenham's top goalscorers.

Mohamed Salah

Next on our list of the top Premier League top scorers is Mohamed Salah. Salah is an Egyptian professional soccer player. He plays for the national team, Liverpool, and the Egyptian national team. He first joined Liverpool only in June of 2017, but has scored a total of 19 goals this season.

The first goal he ever scored with the team was against Watford in a draw with the score of 3-3. Within his short time with the team, he has already become the second fasted player to reach 20 goals for the team, which came about on his 26th game, the first being George Allan, who reached this record in 1895 and was completed in 19 appearances.

Salah is most known for his quick and tactical game, with a sharp eye for the goal. Praised for his dribbling, speed, and ball control, he's a player to root for.

Sergio Agüero

A striker for Manchester City, Sergio Leonel "Kun" Agüero is an Argentine professional soccer player. In 2011, Agüero began his career with Manchester City, and was signed for what is rumored to be $35 million.

As one of the best strikers in the premier league, Agüero had the highest goal per minute ratio of players who had played at least two seasons. He averaged a goal every 106 minutes.

He also holds the record for the most goals scored in a match in the fastest time, five goals in 23 minutes and 34 seconds. He even reached his landmark of 100 goals faster than any player in the division other than Alan Shearer. He has scored over 175 goals for the league.

Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling is next on our list of the Premier League top scorers with 14 goals scored this season. Sterling is a midfielder for Manchester City and first joined the team in 2015, after leaving the Queens Park Rangers.

This transfer is rumored to have cost $49 million, one of the highest fees paid for an English professional soccer player. He has a five-year contract with the team.

His debut game for the team was against Roma during the 2015 International Champions Cup pre-season in which he scored his first goal within three minutes. This game set the tone for the rest of his time with the team, as he continues to please his fans. Playing as either striker, midfielder, and winger, Sterling is most known for his adaptability.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino Barbosa de Oliverio is a Brazilian soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Liverpool. With 11 goals scored this season, Firmino first joined the team in 2015 for what is believed to be up to $29 million, his transfer for success in the Premier League.

His first goal was scored against Manchester City in their 4-1 victory at the City of Manchester Stadium in November of 2015. From then, Firmino did not let his team down when it came to performance.

To start the 2017 seasons, Firmino changed his number to nine. Firmino is most known for his success as an attacking midfielder for his tricky tactics, perfected dribble, and intricate shot.

Romelu Lukaku

Next on our list of the Premier League top scorers is Romelu Lukaku. With 11 goals under his belt this season, along with five assists, he is neck and neck with Roberto Firmino. Lukaku is a striker for club Manchester United, one of the most successful clubs in the league. He also plays for the Belgium national team as a Belgian professional soccer player.

One of five other players to score 50 goals as a young athlete, from his 23rd birthday he went on to score 30 more points before his 24th, making him one of four to do so. He even holds the record of 31 points scored for the Belgian national team.

He just recently joined Manchester United in July of 2017, and has signed a five-year contract with the team for a reported $15 million. He took over the number nine shirt for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the permission of the legend himself, but gave up the number in nearly July.

His style of play is referred to as promising, and as a still young athlete, fans look to him for drive and energy.

Álvaro Morata

A striker for Chelsea, Álvaro Morata has scored a total of 10 goals this season with four assists. Within 152 mins per goal, 55 percent of his shots were on target.

He first began his professional soccer career with Real Madrid, then follow made his way to Juventus, back to Real Madrid, and finally, Chelsea. In July of 2017, Morata transferred to the team for a reported $60 million. And by the July 21, he was officially a Chelsea player.

His debut appearance was in the 2017 FA Community Shield match, which was against Arsenal. And on August 12, he scored his first assist to David Luiz.

However, in January of 2018, he was sent off the field for picking up a booking for diving as well as arguing with the referee. He is most known for his footwork as well as his energy and pace. An incredible athlete to watch and be aware of this season.

Wayne Rooney

Currently playing for the Premier League team Everton, Wayne Rooney is one of the top scorers to look out for. Scoring ten goals with two assists, the professional soccer player is a forward for the team.

Before his transfer to Everton, Rooney maintaining the role of the top goalscorer for Manchester United. And on top of these goals, he has scored a total of 207 goals, making him to second top scorer of all time behind Alan Shearer.

However, he does hold the record for 183 goals for Manchester United, making him the top goalscorer for one club in the league. With his recent return to Everton, Rooney signed a two-year contract with the team as number ten.

Having a great season, Rooney even ranked himself to have the third-highest amount of assists after assisting a goal on December 18 to Gylfi Sigurosson, making it his 103rd assist.

Jamie Vardy

A striker for Leicester City, Jamie Vardy is an incredible athlete for many reasons. First joining the club in 2012, he has played a total of five seasons with the team, and continues to have great seasons. The only other team that he was apart of during his professional career was Fleetwood Town, as well as completing an international career.

A true Leicester City player, he has even been compared to Salvatore Schillaci at UEFA Euro 2016. Though a bit of a late bloomer, he is still known most know his work-rate and direct approach to the game. He will forever be recognized for his sense of space.

Anthony Martial

Last, but certainly not least, on our list of the Premier League top scorers is Anthony Martial. A forward for Manchester United, his career with the club began in 2015 after a $36 million transfer, which was record breaking for the time, breaking the previous $27 million.

With now three seasons under his belt as a player, Martial is not only known for his incredible goal-scoring ability but his power, technique, and ability to mold into the player that Manchester United needs him to be.
