Our planet is like a huge treasure chest waiting patiently for its inner wonders to be discovered. Earth is filled with wonders that captivate the imagination and leaves us puzzled with all its mysteries. Some of these wonders are natural phenomena, while others are man-made marvels. However, there are also places that defy explanation, challenging even the most brilliant minds and leaving us utterly astonished. Today I will share four (4) mysteries of the world with you.

Barac Plateau, Kazakhstan

Barac Plateau in Kazakhstan is nestled within the puzzling Barac Plateau. It used to be a beautiful, breathtaking island in the Aral sea but because of climate changes, it dried up and became a plateau in Kazakhstan. Locals refer to this once beautiful island as the "place of no return." This place got its name from Kazakh legends about people who went there and never returned or came back after years with strange stories of time glitches and UFO sightings. In addition to the already mystifying wonders is that there is a graveyard on the Plateau with new graves. Who's buried there? and who's doing the burying on this empty Island? These questions remain unanswered even till today. The exact reason behind these disappearances remains a puzzle, baffling scientists to this day.

Another mystifying site the world has ever seen is the Colosso Del Aino in Italy. It is a colossal stone sculpture crafted by the talented Flemish sculptor Giambologna. This massive statue, resembling the Apennine Mountains, conceals an entanglement of hidden chambers and secrets. It is still puzzling how a talented sculptor in the 16th century could crave this detailed architectural piece. It is said that this sculpture breathes out smoke, has slits in his eyes and ears for eavesdropping on our conversations and can you imagine that it even sweats and cries through a maze of water pipes. To top it off Sculptor Flemish design is casually holding a sea monster that's forming a pond. This sculptor with its intricate features and mysterious functions, the Colosso Del Aino, continues to baffle observers, leaving us to ponder the secrets locked within its stone formation.

How these monks built their sanctuary in such a remote and challenging location remains a puzzle. Today, Skellig Michael is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sanctuary for seabirds, adding to its allure and mystique. Skellig holds deep history but it is amazing that it is also a bird paradise. This mysterious place is the world's second largest colony, making it a haven for bird enthusiasts. If you are a Star Wars fan then you need to visit this place. Imagine getting the opportunity to see one of the filming sites for Star Wars: A force awakens.
