I used to dream a lot .Most of them are meaningless.

Humans spend about two hours dreaming per night, and each dream lasts around 5 to 20 minutes, although the dreamer may perceive the dream as being much longer than this. The content and function of dreams have been topics of scientific, philosophical and religious interest throughout recorded history.

The human dream experience has undergone sizable shifts over the course of history. Dreams may dictate post-dream behaviors, and may predict future events, and are framed differently across cultures as well as through time.

The most common emotion experienced in dreams is anxiety. Sexual dreams occur no more than 10% of the time and are more prevalent in young to mid-teens, and may result in orgasms or nocturnal emissions.

Scientists are interested in dream study, but current science cannot specify dream physiology in detail. Invasive brain procedures are only allowed in the United States when they are deemed necessary in surgical treatment.

Scientists can study brain functions in animal subjects, but they can't confirm whether animals dream. Human subjects with brain lesions can provide clues, but they can't discriminate between destruction and disconnection.

For many humans across multiple eras and cultures, dreams are believed to be revealers of truths sourced during sleep from gods or other external entities. Freud proposed that dreams preserve sleep by representing as fulfilled those wishes that otherwise would awaken the dreamer.

People can dream about different things .Some of them contains some deep meanings and some of them are meaningless . The meaningful dreams comes from our subconscious mind. Which is active during our sleep time . When we sleep our subconscious mind starts working .

The Three Levels of Human Consciousness-The Conscious, Unconscious and the Subconscious Minds

  1. The Conscious Mind
  2. The Subconscious Mind
  3. The Unconscious Mind

Each level of consciousness contributes to the shaping of human behaviour and thought. According to Freud 3 of them has different works . During out day time we use our conscious mind to think .

The subconscious level of consciousness is where dreams are created. We can think of it as a repository for all recalled experiences, the impressions these experiences leave on the mind, and the tendencies that are awoken or reinforced by these impressions.

Our success in life, work, and relationships is frequently determined by the habits we develop over time. Setting priorities and completing critical day-to-day tasks requires both mental and physical strength. As such, this habit is amenable to learning through practise and repetition until it becomes ingrained in our subconscious mind and becomes an indelible part of our behaviour.

Subconscious mind is the level of consciousness where our memories are permanently stored . When some of out memory stores inside our subconscious mind from our daily activities , we dream about it at night .

When we overthink about anything the memory stores inside our subconscious mind .We can't dream about anything that we have never seen in our life .

We can't die in our dreams cause our mind does not knows about death or how death feels and what happened after death. To put it into understandable words ,we dream what we think . But we can't dream what we never knew .

Nightmares , When we see some thing scary happened in our dream it's called nightmare. A nightmare is an unpleasant dream that causes a strong negative emotional response from the mind.

A hallucination is a perception in the absence of a stimulus, in a conscious and awake state, that has qualities of real perception.

A night terror, also known as a sleep terror or pavor nocturnus, is a parasomnia disorder that predominantly affects children, causing feelings of terror or dread. Night terrors should not be confused with nightmares, which are bad dreams that cause the feeling of horror or fear.
