If you were born in the 20th Century, you might be among the chosen few who are not avidly obsessed with their Body image. Everywhere I go and sightsee nowadays, there is always a billboard or a postcard relating to body image. From run on commercials on TV to social media ads, there seems be an obsession with having the perfect body image. The measures people will go to attain these results is obnoxious. Lately, it seems like the 21st Century is centered/fixated around Body Image, and normalizing ways to attain that perfect glow and body. From the constant body imagery, the media showcases, and the unrealistic standards celebrities are obligated to keep up with. You will be amazed at what people are willing to do to acquire such stance. From Botched surgeries overseas to Kylie Jenner lip Challenge, it appears as if every generation is obsessed with certain parts of their bodies and fitting into what the society portrays as acceptable. A mere size 8 to 12 is now considered plus size, and 0 to 1 deemed small. Who comes up with these logics anyways, size 0 to 1 is borderline anorexia and very unhealthy. Unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from having a normal weight, or you are just thin framed; you should never attempt to fit into society demands.

Luckily for me, I have never had or saw the need to fit into society demands. I was taught to embrace every aspect of my body from a young age, and not to fixate on my Flaws. No, I am not perfect, I do have flaws. However, Unlike the status quo, I have learned to embrace my flaws and manage to co-exist happily ever after. We come as a package, for I consider them part of me. I inherited my Dad’s forehead and trust me its like the whole map of Africa. But how would you know I am African, leave alone noticing my presence without my forehead making such a statement. My forehead has become one of my favorite attributes, it always leaves a lasting impression on people. People do not tend to forget me or my name as much as they do my peers. Its safe to say my forehead constantly works to my advantage. I am not sure of the correlation with it, but I do tend to notice people with regular foreheads go unnoticed a lot more than me.

Secondly, I also inherited oily skin (primarily my face) from my Father’s side as well. I know it is from him because My mother had the perfect skin. She never wore lotion on her face nor was she a fan of make-up. Her skin always had that perfect natural glow, without her putting on anything. I often admired her skin and wondered where I got the oily skin(face) from. She used to casually joke it is probably from your father’s side, so now I am certain I inherited the oily skin from my Father as well. Nevertheless, I have used certain remedies to curb the oily-ness throughout the day. I wear makeup occasionally, so I have been using a dash of baby powder as a barrier to curb the oily-ness on my face for the past two decades. It helps curb the problem, but it is not a permanent fix. Having to put a dub of baby powder on your face daily is not easy. It tames the oiliness but creates ashy-ness on your face. I cannot place lotion ontop of the baby powder, it absorbs through my skin and worsen the oily-ness. I have learned to contour my face and blend in the baby powder untill the ashy-ness disappears. A process that takes time daily during my morning routine. Nevertheless, I have never thought of or wanted to fix my flaws permanently. I instead researched natural remedies that can curb my oily skin. I came across WOW products late last year upon noticing my sister’s hair transformation. You see, my sister’s hair is not only nappy, but she has two different hair textures on her head. The front is curly, and the back of her head is kinky, the two worst combinations you could have.

I seldom consoled myself that she has it worse than me, seeing as to how much she struggled with her hair journey throughout the years. After numerous failed attempts with multiple hair products, a miracle happened last year. My sister’s hair grew longer, healthy, and silkier. she took extra time nurturing her hair and styling it, something she had not done in ages. I began inquiring on what she was using, and she mention WOW. It took me a minute to comprehend the product is called WOW, I initially kept wondering why she repeatedly said Wow every time I asked what products she was using. You see in the past she had to use two different products in her head, one for the curly part and another for the kinky part. But since discovering Wow, she was only using the Moroccan Argon Oil shampoo and conditioner. I asked who referred her to Wow and she responded stating she saw an ad on Facebook and read their reviews and decided to try it.

I was amazed by her hair transformation within a short period of time and decided to do more research on Wow products. By this time, my sister had upgraded to the ACV facewash and her skin was perfect. I noticed the glow in her face as well and decided to try the Apple Cider Vinegar Wow Facewash. Within 3 days of trying ACV, the oily-ness on my face had subdued. I stopped dubbing baby powder on my face and simply just washed my face twice daily with ACV. The built-in brush for deep cleansing was the icing on the cake for me. I washed my face every Morning and before going to bed, the effects were so surreal that I decided to switch all my body lotions and products to wow products only. Wow became my one stop shop; it caters to all my needs. It is also a surplus that they use all-natural products and essential oils in their products. I speak from experience when I say, WOW is the way to go. It helps that they also have great ravishing reviews. They have amazing products, and I cannot believe I did not discover them earlier on. I can go without putting lotion and baby powder on my face now, yet my skin will not appear oily or ashy. I may have not acquired my Mother’s perfect skin and Glow, but I know I am headed the right path.

If you struggle with blemishes, blackheads, oily skin and unclog pores; the ACV face wash is the key to your troubles. Do not waste money at the dermatologist’s laser treatments, nor chemically induced products, try WOW first. I guaranteed you will never go back to anything else. They have an ongoing sale of buy one get one free as well as an additional $10 off coupon for the first order. https://bit.ly/2RcYqPz. If you are acne prone or have dead skin, the Activated Charcoal face wash is your best friend. This wash suits all skin types, so both genders can freely uses it. On the other hand, if you have certain age spots that needs fading, or simply needs to reduce fine lines and detoxify skin to accomplish smoothen complexion, the Vitamin C face wash will suffice. Nevertheless, there’s different hair products to cater to your needs. The one I resonate with the most is the Wow ACV shampoo along with virgin coconut and Avocado oil Conditioner. To top it off I apply the WOW body butter lotion, infused with Himalayan rose. Himalaya is a natural mineral that helps improves sleep quality, balances your body’s Ph, boosts your electrolytes, as well as Increase libido. What more can I ask for, did I mention that it smells amazing as well? And to top it off, I also alternate in applying the Stretch Care body butter lotion to my scars and stretch marks. This lavender infused essential oil not only smells amazing, but it helps even out skin tone as well. Now is the time to feel and look WOW. Run over to WOW website and join the band wagon, I guarantee you will not regret it.
