Tattoo Remorse
Did you get a tattoo and now regret your actions? Both men and women acquire tattoos for a diverse array of reasons including gang or group identification, artistic expression, cultural or spiritual recognition or just plain lunacy. For many teenagers in America, getting a tattoo is a rebellious act of independence; when the need to prove machismo wanes, they often regret that they choose such a permanent way of venting.

"You got another tattoo?!" She asks. "That's so much money!" I took a minute, thinking about how I could explain this to my younger (21-year-old) sister and her friends.
Things to Know Before Getting a Tattoo
We've all heard the horror stories: I didn't get what I wanted; the portrait looks nothing like my grandma; there's a spelling error in the quote; I passed out; it cost a fortune... Getting a tattoo can be scary, especially when you don't know what to expect. Anyone who has seen me since my freshman year of college knows I'm inked up. It took a lot of time and courage for me to get my first piece done, and it could not have gone better. Now I've got ink all over my body. Here are some tips, from a somewhat expert to all the novices, because I wish this article had been around when I was looking to get my first tattoo...

Cassie was a bright seventeen-year-old who not once has dated a boy, worn makeup or smoked cigarettes. Her lips have never tasted the sweetness of alcohol, as she was voted in high school the most likely to succeed. She had a very bright future in front of her. She never had a real good relationship with her mother but admired the way she carried herself and the image she portrayed. She was a very beautiful woman.
Brandi PaynePublished 5 years ago in BlushHow to Take Care of Your Tattoo
I just got my new tattoo after years of knowing what I wanted. I followed tattoos on Pinterest, got a tattoo app to let me try out new tattoos and even bought stick on versions so I could try it out for real. It turns out that drunk people will think they are real sometimes... but don't worry, I didn't pretend it was real. When I just got my tattoo it was absolutely perfect; I really couldn't be any happier... Now, it's not so great. Don't let the same happen to you. Learn from my mistakes and heed this warning. Long story short, this is my collection of acquired info that I learned from both some research and my own first tattoo experience. I hope it helps!
Pros & Cons of Cupping Therapy & Why You Should Try It
Cupping looks strange, even painful. Because of this, it's something of a controversial alternative practice, despite the fact that it isn't dangerous. Cupping is a form of traditional Chinese medicine used to relieve pain and a variety of other maladies, and the patient shouldn't feel any pain. Should you decide to experiment with cupping, you needn't worry that the suction will cause you any distress.

Getting a Brazilian or bikini wax for the first time can be pretty intimidating. The best way to psych yourself up is to know exactly what to expect from beginning to end.
AJ Nelson LEPublished 6 years ago in BlushThe Need to Know About Tattoos
In this day and age, we all know someone who has a tattoo or a lot of them. I myself fall into the category of having many of them. Over the years, I have sat in the comfy black chair and allowed someone to stab my skin with colorful inked needles for hours on end. What I would like to share today is all the wonderful new things about tattoos, how far they have come in society, and how to tell if the person putting that permanent tattoo on you is right for you.
Camille BallentinePublished 6 years ago in BlushThe Picture That Spoke a Few Thousand Characters
Meaningless notifications from the Linkedin app led me to my girlfriends profile; A beautiful black woman. After 10 seconds of scrolling the news feed, then 20 seconds of adding random people with cool pics, and titles, I see her. I had never seen this picture, and I was filled with a weird anxious feeling. I get like this whenever she posts pictures on Social Media, which is rare. Her popping up on my feed, is like an Easter Egg in a Marvel movie, or actually seeing a unicorn walk down the street. Its always a rare sighting, and I'm always freaked out for some reason. I texted her to tell her how beautiful the picture was, and how I felt seeing it, and then some more compliments; that I hope she enjoyed as well. I closed the apps, and went back to listening to The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi on YouTube.
Art CreepsPublished 6 years ago in BlushWhat to Really Expect When You're Getting a Bigger Tattoo
Probably the most frequent and annoying question tattooed people get is "Does it hurt?" or something in that sense. People just love to know if the needle punching through your skin for (sometimes) hours hurts! This won't be one of those thousands and thousands of articles complaining about this and saying that yes, getting tattooed does hurt. I want to talk about something not many people talk about.

So we live in the 21st century right? Are you sure now? Well yes, you are 100 percent correct, we do. Why, if we are so advanced for a generation with technology and kids growing up so fast etc etc etc, are people still frowning upon tattoos?
Shannon GallagherPublished 6 years ago in BlushThe Art of Tattooing
As soon as I walk into the tattoo shop my ears are bombarded with heavy metal music and the sweet, sweet buzzing of needles. I take a seat and chat with my artist about the piece I came in for and soon the shop help hands me the mandatory paperwork. She starts admiring my already sleeved left arm and begins to share her own ideas for her next piece and where on her body she wants to place it. “I think I want to start adding to my legs. I just love those pictures where they’re in the bathtub and their tattoos just look so good!”
