Did you know that some active ingredients should never be combined with each other? And which others are better to wear only in the evening and with sunscreen the following day? But above all: should the serum be used before or after the moisturizer? And the tonic? Here is a complete guide with all the secrets of perfect skincare. And remember: no one has a magic wand and there are no miracle products. It takes patience and perseverance, only in this way can you get perfect skin

No more evenings and outings, but lots and lots of time to spend at home. And so, those attentions that previously dedicated themselves to make-up are now pouring them into skincare. On the other hand, a cleansed and cared for skin is able to better contrast the signs of aging, thus making the use of make-up even less necessary. It doesn't matter to spend hours on facial care, even just 2 minutes morning and evening are enough, the important thing is to use the right products for your skin type and in the right order, paying attention to the mix. It is not enough to put a few drops of salicylic acid once to see all the pimples disappear. It takes patience and perseverance, only in this way can you get perfect skin. And then show it off when you can go out and have a social life again.

THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEANSING -

Enough with the make-up remover wipes and with quick strokes of micellar water. Our skin needs soap and water (be careful, not the classic Marseille soap). Cleansing is in fact the basis of every skincare routine and this step alone is enough - if done well - to have a visibly healthier and more rested skin.

If not cleaned properly, everything that accumulates on our face clogs the pores, contributing to cell aging and the appearance of impurities and irritation. In the morning, after waking up, facial cleansing helps remove any toxins, dead cells, and excess oils that the skin may secrete during the night. Balancing the skin and providing a fresh surface for the start of the day allows for better penetration of the active ingredients contained in the subsequent treatments of your beauty routine and offers all their benefits. In the evening, however, cleansing will not only remove all traces of makeup from the face, but will also help the repair process from the aggressions of external agents to which our skin is exposed during the day.

It is therefore important to choose the most suitable cleanser for your skin: if you have dry and sensitive skin, we advise you to choose an emollient and delicate cleanser, preferably oily. If, on the other hand, your skin is combination or oily, choose a cleanser in mousse with a moisturizing, rebalancing and sebum-regulating action. Try cleansing by affinity, contrast or double cleansing to your taste, the important thing is never to go to bed wearing makeup. To remove make-up, always choose a specific product, such as cleansing milk or make-up remover butters (the avocado one is excellent, ed), to be rinsed off with a foaming detergent, practicing a double cleansing which guarantees a deep cleansing as well as protecting the lipid film of the skin. Please note: the micellar water also needs to be rinsed, otherwise instead of freeing our pores we will block them further. Two or three times a week then perform exfoliation, which can be mechanical with special brushes such as Foreo or with scrubs; or chemical with special enzymatic peels: a fundamental step to promote cell renewal.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS TO CHOOSE -

Once proper cleansing has been performed, it is time to move on to the application of the active ingredients. It is important to inform yourself and read the labels of the products we use well to know what they are made of and therefore how to use them best. For example, there may be acids inside an "illuminating" or "glow" effect tonic, to be used with caution to avoid irritation. The “layering”, that is the superimposition of several different products, also at the basis of the Korean beauty ritual, guarantees great results if done with knowledge. Otherwise the risk is to wake up in the morning with a red face like a pepper. How does it work? It always starts with cleansing, followed by the other products in the order from the most "watery" to the most "oily". For example: after cleansing, apply the tonic, then the serums (concentrated active ingredients, ed), then the cream, the eye contour and, finally, an oil and sunscreen. Obviously, all the steps are optional, except that of the SPF, which is very important to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and spots.

It is essential to "mix" the active ingredients with awareness and pay attention to the% in which they are present, in order not to risk irritating the skin too much: retinol (vitamin A) should preferably be used in the evening because it photosensitises (it can therefore cause spots or even burns if you expose yourself to sunlight). Even AHA exfoliating acids (eg glycolic, azelaic, lactic ...) better in the evening and accompanied by sunscreen in the morning. Never combine specific anti-acne products with AHA and vitamins C and A, but not even vitamins C and A with the exfoliating acids AHA / BHA, better combine them with a moisturizer such as Hyaluronic acid or nutrients such as Peptides or, again, the soothing principle of vitamin E. It is a less immediate exfoliation, but if used well acids are one of the best performing things to do at home in terms of skincare. An excellent less known beauty ingredient is Niacinamide, a very useful active for the skin that acts on many fronts, improving its texture and reducing the appearance of pimples and blackheads.

The advice is to learn about the active ingredients so as not to waste resources and maximize results, buying not a finished product with multiple ingredients that we ignore, but the single active ingredient with which to enhance and build your beauty routine based on needs that our skin has from time to time. For example, serums are great to apply pure in drops to the face but also to add to moisturizing / nourishing creams as well. Excellent in this sense are the products of The Ordinary and of the Elementa line by Bioearth, with plant-based active ingredients and an excellent quality / price ratio.

RELY ON EXPERT HANDS -

If you want to be on the safe side with the results and enjoy a moment of pure relaxation, then better rely on expert hands. Like those of Donatella Colangelo, the skin coach who combines her 100% natural products with a Deep Natural Manual Lifting, a very deep and articulated massage in different phases that stimulates not only the face, but the whole body, in points key, to stimulate the lymphatic system and natural cellular rejuvenation. Over the years, many celebrities and celebrities from the world of entertainment have relied on her skilled hands. During the treatment, the facial muscles are "trained" by alternating strengthening and relaxing movements, such as the buccal massage, a massage performed inside the mouth to induce relaxation of the facial and chewing muscles, instantly redefining the features. A real lifting done by hand and with completely natural products, such as caviar oil massaged with the Gua Sha technique or with the jade roller to relax the eye contour. All these maneuvers lead to an important hyperemia and epidermal oxygenation. But the real gem is at the end, when the face is sprinkled with pure diamond powder, the flagship product of the Seticrei line designed by Donatella Colangelo, rich in lifting peptides that give the skin an immediate tightening effect, as well as super shiny. A luxury “gem” that gives an immediately younger and more defined face, as well as a radiant appearance for many several days that follow, to be booked immediately as soon as possible!
