Fill three-quarters of an old, clean sock with uncooked rice, maize barley, or oats. Close it with a tie or a stitch and cook it for 1–2 minutes in the microwave.

Caffeine should be avoided

If you consume caffeine-containing items during your period, avoid them since caffeine causes blood vessels to shrink, restricting blood flow and making cramps worse. Caffeine also promotes bloating, which exacerbates cramping. Simply eliminate the caffeine-containing goods and replace them with other nutritious foods. If you drink coffee twice a day, cut back to one and then try to avoid it for the rest of the day.
