Finding the right tone for makeup can be challenging. Every step count for seamless and flawless makeup and there are several to steps to getting our base makeup right. Right from moisturizing and priming to finishing it off with setting spray, you need to do it in a proper way. Choosing the correct skin tone might be difficult for women of color! Being a dusty skin myself, I gathered up the shades that are budget friendly products down here and would be a perfect match for an ideal brown skin beauty.

Preparing the skin is more crucial than flawless, bright makeup.

The mandatory steps to follow. SUNSCREEN: WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THERE IS A SUNSCREEN FORMULA FOR THOSE WITH BROWN SKIN!? YOU READ THAT RIGHT>>>> TINTED SUNSCREEN!!!

It refers to a mineral-based, broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains a blend of added pigments to add a clear tint, so it matches your natural skin color. Brown skinned people are well aware of how challenging it is to avoid white cast. Tinted sunscreens really help to ensure coverage and combat white cast. However, it is also important to follow up with a moisturizer.

MOISTURIZER: YES! YOU DO HAVE TINTED MOISTURIZER TOO. Keep reading if you want to find out more information on creating an ideal makeup base.

Moisturizer does two particularly important tasks.

*First, it soothes skin’s surface for a more even foundation or concealer application and can even help makeup to stay on longer.

*Second, moisturized skin underneath makeup, will help skin to look less dull. Applying foundation on dry skin can cause it to look cakey. Similar to sunscreen, moisturizers also available in tinted formula. It's ideal for folks who like a natural glow to their skin and for a “no makeup-makeup” appearance.

HOW TO FIND THE PROPER TONE:

Skin tone refers to skin color. Undertone refers to shade within the color. There are three types of undertones: warm, cold, neutral. People with even same skin tone might have quite different undertones. Take a look at your wrist veins under natural light to identify the undertone first. If the under veins are blue or slightly purple, you have cool undertone. if the under veins are green, you have green under vein. If it is blue or green, you have neutral undertone.

STEP 1: PRIMER

Reasons to use a face primer include the following: By filling up the pores, wrinkles, pores, and rough textures, it acts as a barrier between your skin and other makeup products. prolongs the wear of cosmetics. Your skin cannot be damaged by the harsh cosmetics, protecting your skin from breakouts or acne. It gives an appearance of improved skin quality by revitalizing and restoring the skin. It controls oil.

Gel based/matte primer is best for oily skin. Creamy based is best for dry skin. Hydrating gel primer is best for sensitive skin.

STEP 2: ALL-IN ONE-COLOR CORRECTOR FOR BROWN SKIN

ORANGE CONCEALOR: This single concealer works wonders on dark skin. This can help neutralize the pigmented areas, dark spots, dark circles, darkened acne anywhere in the face. It’s the perfect pick for dusky skinned beauties with minor to major discoloration. With blender or brush, blend the concealer formula in a circular motion on the target points of your face to tackle the skin concerns. Once you’ve applied the color corrector, you can follow it up with a layer of foundation.

STEP 3: THE IDEAL FOUNDATION SHADE FOR BROWN SKIN

These foundation shades are up for the grabs: “olive, caramel, Espresso, Chestnut, cinnamon, chocolate, cocoa, ebony. "Steer clear of honey, golden, warm tan shades because it would make you appear cakey. A shade lighter or darker can spoil the whole look. Liquid foundation suits better for dark skin because it blends easily and gives a subtle smooth appearance. As I said earlier, always go from the darkest shade to find the correct tone as while testing all.

STEP 4: CONCEALER FOR DARK SKIN:

Use a concealer one shade lighter than your foundation. Concealer neutralizes and camouflage pigmentation, dark spots. The goal is to brighten the dark circles, spots so choose a lighter concealer.

5 ways to use a concealer.

1.) Use it to cover dark circles, pigmentation that surrounds the lips.

2.) Use it as an eyeshadow base.

3.) Use a concealer shade darker for contour.

4.) Use it to make your wing sharp and precise.

5.) Use it to brighten high points of your face.
