No doubt Eminem is considered as one of the greatest rappers of all time but do you know how he got famous?

Well by the end of this post, you will know about it.

Eminem was born on October 17, 1972, in St. Joseph, Missouri. In his early days, he was interested in storytelling and aspired to be a comic book artist.

But that soon changed when he heard his first rap song 'Reckless' feat Ice-T, and discovered hip hop.

How did Eminem Got Famous?

While listening to cassettes of different artists in Jimmy Lovin's house, Dr. Dre discovered Eminem. He loved Eminem's work so much that, he helped him produce the Slim Shady LP in 1999, which later became a commercial success. That is how Eminem got famous and successful.

In 2000, the Slim Shady LP won the G rammy Awards for Best Rap Album which was held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Which Song Made Eminem Famous?

The song 'My Name is' made Eminem go from an underground rapper to a celebrity. Before the Slim Shady LP, when Dr.Dre and Eminem were in the studio, Dre asked Eminem to check out some samples. Within seconds Eminem started rhyming 'my name is, my name is' to the beat and that is how they produced the track.

At what age, Eminem Started Rapping?

It was at the age of 14, he started rapping with his friend Mike Ruby. Along with his friend and fellow rapper 'Proof' they used to creep into neighboring Osborn high school for freestyle rap battles. They also used to attend open-mic contests at the Hip Hop on west 7 miles.
