For starters, it's officially October 1st! Isn't that exciting? I know for a fact that as soon as September starts to roll around, I get all the Halloween urges and vibes. So to get us ready for this years Halloween, there's nothing better than a spooky playlist to get you and your friends in the Halloween spirt. Let's begin, shall we?

The very first song for a great playlist is very crucial, and it'll tell a lot about the type of person you are. So for starters...

1. Michael Jacksons ,"Thriller."

There's nothing better than a little thriller to get the party started. Once this song starts to play, you'll have everyone on the dance floor, either dancing or singing along.

As there's never a party that won't have this classic Halloween song playing. The official video got released on YouTube, on October 3rd, 2009. And just like that it soon became one of the most popular songs still to this day.

Enjoy the very first spooky tune of this exciting playlist.

Now I know what you are thinking... What song can she possibly put next? This was an all time favorite from when I was a kid and still as a twenty-two year old.

2. Ray Parker Jr, "Ghostbusters."

Now here's why you should include this absolute throwback. Ghostbusters was released on June 8th, 1984. It has become a well known song that brings a lot of fawn memories as you listen to it. Weather you grew up watching the Ghostbusters movies or just heard it when your parents played it. You'll have the crowd singing, which will create an electrifying atmosphere.

Okay, moving on to the next explosive track.... We have a very distinguished song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

3. Richard O'Brien & Richard Hartley, "The Time Warp."

The song was featured in the 1973 rock musical "The Rocky Horror Show." It's a very catchy and popular song that was actually played at my school dances when I was younger, and it had all of us dancing and enjoying the moment.

Now onto our fourth hit that comes from a brilliant childhood movie. Hocus Pocus. (1993) One of my favorite childhood movies honestly.

4. Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), "I Put A Spell On You."

Since this one is not from Hocus Pocus, since they did their own spin on it, I'm giving you one of my favorite versions (1969). You can never go wrong with this song at a party, weather it's "Screamin' Jay Hawkins or Nina Simone." You can never have a boring party with this song playing.

This fifth song will really get you into the Halloween spirt. Some people say this is a Christmas movie but others consider it a Halloween movie. I consider it both. "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

5. Marilyn Manson, "This is Halloween."

Marilyn Manson did a cover of this song back in (2006) which was originally by Danny Elfman on October 12th, 1993. They both did a great job on them, I used Marilyn Manson's version due to the fact that it brings a bit more of a sinister sound.

This next one is for the books really. I grew up listening to this guy because my parents were as you say "Metal Heads." They really gave me a genreless liking. As I listen to everything.

6. Rob Zombie, "Dragula."

You won't disappoint anyone at the party with this hit. (Unless it's your gram and she doesn't like metal music lol.) But Rob Zombie released this smashing hit in August 1998. And he has come out with a lot of great hits and I'm sure there will be more that will be on this list.

The seventh track to this playlist is from the classic 1987's movie "The Lost Boys."

7. Gerard McMann, "Cry Little Sister."

Just like any classic 1980's movie, you have to have a magnificent soundtrack to go with it. Now this movie in particular is priceless. There are three movies in this movie sequel, and the first movies soundtrack can not be touched honestly.

Now this track may not be ideal to most people, when it comes to a Halloween party, but it's a classic.

Our eighth installment to this playlist is a song that you can wallow in.

8. Donovan, " Season of the Witch."

This classic came out September, 1966. Although there are multiple versions of this song, like The Doors, January, 1967. Where it has been said that they were playing their version of the song in the summer of 1966. I still am a massive fan of Donovan's track.

Which meaning that most people may not wanna dance to this or most may not listen to it. But I for one think it's a spectacular song for this playlist.

This song from 1996 recently became popular after it resurfaced a few years ago and exploded on the popular children's app TikTok.

9. Andrew Gold, " Spooky Scary Skeletons."

This song came out in the year 1996. It didn't become that popular until it was reintroduced on TikTok. It now has over 5 million on YouTube. The popular song got remixed by The Living Tombstone. It's a well known hit now that is a guaranteed song to play at parties.

We made it to the big ten! Congratulations everyone!

10. The Four Modernaires, "Jeepers Creepers."

This oldies hit is from way back in the 30's to be exact, 1938.

This song got popular from a famous horror movie. It wasn't intended to be known as a Halloween song, but soon after the movie came out it was classified as a Halloween song.

The movie Jeepers Creepers came out in 2001. And the song came out on December 8th, 1938.

This would conclude our spooky playlist. I know some you may not consider to be party songs. But when I think of Halloween, I think of these songs. I would definitely jam out to all of these tunes. :) hope you enjoy!
