For me personally, music is the single greatest art form in the history of human existence. It’s constantly evolving and ever changing. With the constant addition of new genres it can even be hard to keep up with everything that’s releasing in the present day. That said, I’m hoping I can put some of that music on any and all who is willing to read this. My first entry will feature a breakout artist in that of Chappell Roan. She’s just released her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. It tells a tale of her individual self exploration, her upbringing, and the path she took to being finally becoming content with who she is as a person.
Delivering two fresh perspectives into the world of music.
Both IMPERATORE and Michal Habrda shine a light on the music scene with their unique twists and turns in composition. Committed to their craft and unwilling to compromise, they present a fresh perspective into the world of music.

Dave Rubinstein (a.k.a. "Dave Insurgent") was the lead singer of Eighties hardcore punk pioneers REAGAN YOUTH, a band that started in the hallways of Forrest Hills Highschool in Queens, where the Ramones hail from. Originally created by Rubinstein, a rebellious youth whose father fought in WW2 and whose mother survived Auschwitz, Dave started the band with his friend Dave Bukija (Dave Cripple), often getting a physics teacher to roadie for them. In time, they changed their original name, which was "Pus," to the more marketable (but no less offensive) REAGAN YOUTH. The name is meant as a satirical joke on the right-wing conservative policies of Ronald Reagan, and the Hitler Youth.

Today we wake to the news of 90s alt behemoth, and lead singer of Smashmouth ,Steve Harwell's untimely death. As I have talked about on these pages, I am a music nerd. I'll listen to anything once, and many things twice. A lot of things, several. I've played piano since I was a child, so the ear was prepped, but still, Smashmouth remains the most pleasing to the ear for decades, and true masters of the story song - genre jesters doing their thing on every single one of their tracks, whilst staying true to their 1960s, easy listening vibe, even incorporating ska and punk elements, with that 90s edge. To me, true pioneers.

I am a career technologist, aspiring singer/songwriter + music composer. That should summarize my life as it stands now! I am as underground and independent artists as they come and proud to be one. While I don’t have a great voice, I make it up with passion and commitment to write lyrics, compose music(well, try), and master them. What started as a curiosity-driven hobby two years ago has become a passion today.

To all those with a love-hate relationship with romance... There's no shortage of love songs out there, so here are a few of my favorite songs with a bit of an anti-romantic theme, with a touch of hopeless romantic (based on personal interpretations). Feel free to comment any song suggestions you have as well!

Music is a way we as humans have created to be able to express ourselves and share personal experiences with others. We use different forms of poetry within our music to convey what we are trying to say. Sometimes the artist may stretch the truth to try to get their point across. Or use imagery or metaphors to descibe what they are trying to say. Music has always been intriguing to me and for as long as I can remember I've been listening to music. I tend to gravitate towards music that speaks to me on a personal level or that I am able to connect with emotionally. Creating this connection between the artist and listener is a great way to create connections that are lasting between the creator and fan. As I've grown up and gone through things I haven't always known how to say what I am feeling. That's when I decided to give music a try.
