Paulina Vo is an emerging Indie artist living in New York City who has made many strides in her career performing throughout the city and making a name for herself.

During these times of quarantine it may be hard to find inspiration to create however, Paulina has defeated the odds and created a project that truly feels for these times right now. "Call You After" is a new EP consisting of five electronic and lo-fi driven sounds lead by smooth vocals and meaningful lyrics produced by Vo in house. The series of songs are also complimented by unique videos uploaded on YouTube to match the vibe and tempo of each song.

Being a producer for her own project, Vo quoted "The songs on "Call You After" were written and produced in a few days, I dove in and isolated myself during the process. The title is a line from "Leave the Light On", and when I finished the EP, I felt like I had entered my own world while the outside world went on. The concept of calling someone after being deep in making one song after the next, felt right, like, I'm plugged in right now but I'll get back to you when I'm done."

Being a female producer, songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist made Paulina stand out to me as an emerging artist in todays music industry. Not only is she setting the bar for indie artist all around but, the funds for this Ep project will be donated to a cause that she, myself alike, and many of you reading stand strongly by.

Paulina stated "The EP sat on my hard drive for a few years, I originally wrote these in 2018 for a sync project. I intended on releasing it eventually, but when Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd were unjustly murdered, I wanted to figure out how I could donate more and continue my support for Black Lives Matter. With the continued murders of more members of the Black community, including Nina Pop, Tony McDade, and the belated reporting of Elijah McClain, there was no better time. I wanted to use the best resource I could think of to generate funds to donate to organizations that will continue to fight for equality for all, and bring justice to guilty parties."

Recently, Bandcamp has been amazing with supporting artist during these times and letting them keep full revenue made from selling music. Paulina thought this would be a great platform to sell her Ep on so. she could donate the funds directly to a few causes she is highly passionate about. Make sure you all support as all bandcamp donations will go to The Okra Project & The NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
