Usually, we choose songs we like by the melody, the lyrics, and by the musical genre. I’m starting a series with songs from all kinds of genres going according to the alphabet. Here are songs with titles that begin with the letter N. Links will be posted below as we proceed through the ABCs. At the end, you’ll find the links to the songs with titles that begin with the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, and M.

“Never Gonna Fall In Love Again” is a song that was co-written and recorded by American pop-rock singer Eric Carmen. It is a song I liked from the first time I heard it just for the melody alone and then after a while, I found myself easily singing along with the lyrics. The song was the second single from Carmen's self-titled album. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went to number one on the Billboard Easy Listening chart. The melody is based on the third movement (adagio) from Symphony No. 2 by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

The beat, the music, and the way Holly sings the song “Not Fade Away” has always made me want to dance whenever I hear it. American singer and songwriter Buddy Holly and the Crickets recorded this song in 1957. It is ranked at number 107 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

“Never Going Back Again” has always seemed an upbeat and bouncy kind of song that made me smile every time I heard it on the radio. The song was written by Lindsey Buckingham and recorded by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. It is featured on their 1977 album Rumours.

I love a lot of songs by this singer and “Night Moves” is among my favorites. American singer and songwriter Bob Seeger wrote and recorded the song. It is the lead single from his 1976 album of the same name. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and became his first hit single since his song “Ramblin' Gamblin' Man” in 1969.

“Nights in White Satin” by the English rock band The Moody Blues is one of those songs that just overwhelms me and when I hear it I just sit back and close my eyes and listen to it. It was written and composed by Justin Hayward and is featured on their album Days of Future Passed. It was released as a single in 1967 and charted on the UK Singles chart. The song was reissued in 1972 and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It became the band's most successful single in the US.

The song “Needles and Pins” has always been an oldie favorite with me. It always makes me happy singing along with it. The song was written by American songwriters Jack Nitzche and Sonny Bono. Originally it was recorded in 1963 by Jackie DeShannon. The most successful version was recorded by the English Merseybeat group The Searchers in 1964. Their version went to number one on the UK Singles chart.

This song might have a strange title “New York Mining Disaster” but when the British-Australian pop group The Bee Gees sing it I enjoy it very much. This song was their debut American single released in 1967. It was their first song to chart in both the UK and the US. It is featured on their international debut album Bee Gees' 1st.

“Nice to Be With You” is a delightful song that was recorded by the American soft rock band Gallery in 1972. It is on their album of the same name. They presented the song on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Cashbox charts.

“No No Song” is among my favorite songs by English musician Ringo Starr. It has a catchy tune and I love the lyrics. I enjoy singing along with it a lot when I hear it. The song came out in 1974 and was written by Hoyt Axton and David Jackson. It is on Starr's 1974 album Goodnight Vienna. The song charted on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Cashbox charts.
