Noisily Festival of Music & Arts returns this year with a line up full of diverse sounds and genres, offering up a selection of artists you already know, and artists you need to know.

‘We Are Nature’ is the festival ethos for 2020, and the theme has been infused into every aspect of the woodland cultural gathering. Alongside the three main music stages, attendees can choose from a variety of wellness offerings such as yoga, Mind Body Soul healing, art markets and much more, all set in the forests near Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

From 9-12 July, visitors are invited to return to nature at an event “wherein all artists have been encouraged to keep our fragile environment at the centre of their planning and production”. Here are a few of the most exciting acts you don’t want to miss.

Goldie

An icon of British dance music, Goldie is nothing but consistent, and as his Metalheadz label celebrates its 25th anniversary he shows no signs of slowing down. Having shifted away from production in recent years to make room for the wealth of talent on his imprint, Goldie the DJ is still a force to be reckoned with behind the decks. You should never pass up an opportunity to catch a set by this master of the UK scene.

Frankey & Sandrino

The German duo behind the legendary Acamar EP have been in the business for over a decade and have carved out a lane for themselves with super slick production and their signature deep melodic sound. Their DJ sets and live shows are known for turning a quiet dance floor into the site of an unforgettable experience.

Hidden Empire

Known for their huge sound, borrowing elements from the deepest recesses of techno and house, Hidden Empire are a law unto themselves. The best way to experience their hypnotic, pulsating melodies is on the biggest speakers you can find with the whole night ahead of you.

Layo & Bushwacka

These giants of Tech house were some of the first pioneers of the sound, and continue to influence it to this day. Having split up a number of years ago, the pair are back to their best, producing slick rhythms that pack a serious punch on the dancefloor.

Gaudi

This Anglo-Italian musician and producer was made for events like Noisily festival. With his finger on the musical pulse since 1981, Daniele Gaudi’s career has spanned a range of genres from worldbeat, to reggae and dub to electronica. His eclectic tastes are the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful surroundings of the forest.
