Bio
I'm seeking out knowledge of our forgotten ancestors through historical studies and my imagination, fusing the two together to create something that resembles myth.

The Fall of Carlu
A note by the author - I encourage the reader to not be put off by the unfamiliar names and words mentioned in my writing. The names contribute to a collection of fictional stories based on genealogies of both Northern European mythology and my own creation. Words and names in italics are sourced from Norse and Celtic myth and folklore and can be investigated for historical context.

My Little Nest
Have you ever found a nest, perhaps a wasps’ nest or that of a wren, and thought about the intricacy in its construction? I strongly believe it’s an inherent instinct for us, as human beings, to also build a beautiful home for ourselves. There is a deep part of us that require a space where we can call our safe space – a nest where we can curl up into and free our minds of the concerns that linger in the great world beyond.

A Western Christmas
“Once a year, they gathered with gifts for one another in celebration of the Christian story where the divine and sacred enters the mortal realm in the form of a baby; pure, innocent, human. But this tradition was to take on a vastly different setting from its Judean origin – one that adopted a Sami romance and told the story of Elves making presents and an Elder who would deliver those gifts to children, travelling from house to house with his flying Reindeer. This was a bright and colourful scene with deeply rooted undertones of darkness, tragedy, the oppression and exploitation under a great empire.”
