Amiri and His Disobedience
Amiri and his Civil Disobedience By Stephen Donnelly Little Amiri lived on his own in the nice cottage-filled village of Kamokila just down the valley from Palace Amu Nimu. He lived alone, but that didn’t mean plump little Amiri wasn’t happy. In fact he lived a wonderfully fulfilling life collecting mushrooms for his fellow villagers to eat. Garnering his shrooming axe he would venture his portly body out into Weevil Woods. Which at this point was no longer aptly named due the weevils being run out years ago. In fact there were no dangers in those woods other than allowing a felled mushroom to crush you due to your own hubris.

Death of a Memory
Death of a Memory By Stephen Donnelly “You need to slow the hell down. He isn’t going to go anywhere,” my co-pilot, Denny, said to me. His knuckles white on whatever parts of the car he can get a grip on as I round a corner. My siren blaring and my cherry topper flashing the red warning to everyone else that there is danger nearby. That danger was me.

A Brief History
A Brief History By Stephen Donnelly Recently I have taken up a hobby of three dimensional drawing and art. I was never good at drawing on a second dimensional plane no matter how hard I tried. And the way my grandmother tried to ‘teach’ me makes it hard to want to pursue it. A lot of memories of her scratching out what I had done. Drawing over what I had drawn to make it look like she wanted it to.

The Museum of Modern Past
The Museum of Modern Past By Stephen Donnelly There I was holding her hand in one of the largest museums I’ve ever seen. Feeling the pressure of her fingers interlaced with mine gave me a sense of comfort in the crowds. I turned to smile at her and she was already smiling at me. Her smile radiated brighter than her unblemished blonde hair that was always perfect when we were out in public.

Escaping Reality
There are many things I do that are outside of work. 3D modeling. Writing. Wood working. Even hobby chemistry like brewing alcohol. Not even limiting myself from the occasional metal working or what I like to call “man knitting”. Which in itself is just threading steel wire into chainmail. LARPing, D&D, as well as other nerd things try to cut their way into my time frame. But nothing holds a candle to how cathartic video games are to me.

My Drive
The Things That Drive Me By Stephen Donnelly To put things simply, writing has been something that has always put a light in my life. It took me too long in my life to figure out something I did in my personal time like writing could be something I could actually do and people enjoy. It was always something that I have done for personal use and to create something that I could enjoy.
