It started as such a normal day for doctor Kathy Meyer (Jennie Garth), heading into work after wishing goodbye to her husband David (Alexander Carroll) and teenage daughter April (Luca Bella, Garth's real-life daughter in her credited "Introducing" role). But fresh off a successful surgery, Kathy is approached by a pair of detectives with terrible news to give her: David was found dead at their house from what the police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

After meeting with writer Stephanie Carlton (Miranda Frigon), however, Brooklyn is given a surprising offer: Stephanie will put in a good word for Brooklyn to her father (the head of Life/Style) regarding the cover in exchange for Brooklyn setting her up with her Mr. Right.

A year after having a nervous breakdown during a photo shoot, fashion photographer Jennifer Higgins (Linsey Godfrey) finds herself as the new fashion and photography teacher at Palm Vista High School in Los Angeles. Soon after arriving at the school, Jennifer takes an interest in David Dolittle (Joshua Hoffman), a shy and awkward teenager who becomes a late addition to her class. Seeing potential in David as a model, Jennifer takes David under her wing, leading to a burgeoning modelling career for David that excites him, despite the concerns of his mother Suzanne (Jamie Luner).

Short Horror Reviews: Workobey Films
With Halloween just around the corner, I thought it would fun to provide my loyal readers with a nice spooky treat for this 31st by reviewing a handful of scary short films. What all these films have in common is that they are all works from the company Workobey Films company, founded by Canadian filmmaker Andrew J.D. Robinson. Having also founded the 15 Second Horror Challenge, Robinson has more than proven his dedication to the horror genre, with Robinson and his company being the mastermind behind the well-crafted Halloween short film, We Know You Are Home.

Lifetime Review: 'Kindred Spirits'
Single mom Chloe (Thora Birch) has had a difficult time lately with her teenage daughter Nicole (Sasha Frolova), whose short temper has caused friction between herself and her mother. Hallmark Review: 'Love, Fall & Order'
For New York based lawyer Claire Hart (Erin Cahill), her career is perfectly aligned with her lifelong competitive streak. Her work ultimately brings Claire back to her small hometown in Vermont when her father Hank (Gregory Harrison) reveals that he is being sued by his neighbor Margie Wright (Jan Broberg) over a patch of his farming land that an uncovered deed seems to indicate belongs to her. The Harts are especially protective of the patch of land listed in the suit, as it is the plot of land Hank uses to host the town's annual Fall Fest.
