Lifetime Review: 'His Deadly Affair'
Violinist Danielle Turner (Helena Mattsson) is a gifted musician who is the latest protege of conductor James Hart (Max Ryan). Despite this opportunity being her potential big break, Danielle can't help but feel guilty about joining James on his music tour--as her departure left her at odds with her sister Heidi (Danielle C. Ryan). Now that she's back in town, Danielle is hoping to use this as her chance to make up with Heidi and rekindle their connection. Danielle is also enjoying a romantic relationship with James, having been swept off her feet by her handsome and charismatic conductor.

Reviewing Hallmark in the Wake of #BoycottHallmark
As of writing this, my last review was of Baby's First Christmas, a 2012 film offering courtesy of the Hallmark Channel. But having submitted it to Vocal late at night, it was not posted until the next morning--when I had completely forgotten about it. By the time I did remember the review, however, something had erupted on Twitter that had me questioning whether I should publicly advertise the review's publication.

Hallmark Review: 'Baby's First Christmas'
For as long as they have known each other, lawyers Jenna Pendrell (Rachel Wilson) and Kyle Davidson (Casper Van Dien) have been the bitterest of rivals. That makes the fact that Kyle's sister Trisha (Natalie Lisinska) and Jenna's brother Jim (Noah Cappe) are a couple all the more awkward. With Christmas approaching and Trisha and Jim expecting their second child soon, Jenna and Kyle find themselves travelling to spend the holiday with their siblings. But as soon as they arrive, Trisha and Jim rush to the hospital as Trisha begins having contractions, leaving the two estranged in-laws charged with watching over their young niece Karen (Ella Ballentine).

Hallmark Review: 'What I Did for Love'
Rising lawyer James White (Jeremy London) and successful doctor Sadie Ryder (Dorie Barton) have been together for months, and James is ready to start a life together by popping the question to Sadie in the days leading up to Christmas. Lifetime Review: 'The Doctor Will Kill You Now'
When a skiing accident lands Sarah Crenshaw (Gina Vitori) in the hospital, it initially appears the young woman is at the risk of losing her leg. But thanks to the work of skilled surgeon Gary Vincent (Anthony Jensen), Sarah's leg is saved and he is lauded by his staff and by Sarah herself for his incredible work. During her stay at the hospital, Sarah also becomes friendly with her physical therapist Jake (Matthew Pohlkamp), with their sessions together sparking a whirlwind romance--with the sweet and encouraging Jake being just what Sarah needs after her last relationship.
