And now, Maggie and Jack are themselves business partners in a way, giving relationship advice for a local radio show. With the new year around the corner, Maggie and Jack's producer Deb (Alison Brooks) gives them some great news: they're being considered for national syndication. Hoping to impress their potential new boss, Maggie and Jack agree to Deb's suggestion they do a New Year's Eve special--during which they'll introduce their significant others to their families.

Film Review: 'The Christmas Edition'
Jackie Evans (Carly Hughes) has always been a hard worker with her eye set on the prize. A journalist for the Sunshine Chronicle in San Diego, Jackie is hoping that all her dedication and talent will earn her a promotion to news editor. But to Jackie's dismay, her aspirations end up being for naught when Melanie Dower (Marie Osmond)--the CEO of media conglomerate Dower Media--suddenly purchases Sunshine Chronicle. Despite Jackie's skills and the high praises of her boss, Melanie believes she doesn't have the skills required of an editor, instead only offering Jackie a position as a staff reporter. Stunned and unwilling to take such a demotion, Jackie quits.

So when Izzi learns that the owner of her beloved holiday getaway spot Antler Lodge is retiring after this year, she convinces Mila to let her travel to Silver Springs to work on the revisions. Once she gets there, however, the change-resistant Izzi is surprised to find that there's already been some renovations done to her wintry home-away-from-home.
