Film Review: 'Cold Feet'
It's the eve of Eddie's (Allen C. Gardner) wedding, and his friends have rented out a house for his bachelor party. It's a night of drinking, drugs, and general debauchery amongst the groom-to-be and his seven buddies. There's even a sexy stripper named Courteney (Najarra Townsend) who joins the festivities. Amidst all the revelry, Eddie can't help but have worries about his upcoming nuptials. He loves his fiancée, but vague feelings of temptation have him in doubt.

Short Horror Reviews: Social Media Scares
Leave Meeting: With the COVID pandemic launching the video conferencing program into popularity, I figured it would only make sense to start this list with two short horror films taking place during a Zoom call. Rebecca Cascade (Cheryl Bricker) is preparing for a virtual therapy session with her client Karen (Amy Scribner). But the doctor is in for a surprise when she finds Karen's abusive ex Carl (Jonathan Grey) on the other end of the meeting instead. With the verbal standoff between Rebecca and Carl taking up most of the movie's runtime, Leave Meeting's pace is of the leisurely variety. As tensions grow and revelations are made, you might think you know where the story's going after a few minutes.

Short Film Reviews: Ari Aster
Between his feature-length debut Hereditary and his 2019 follow-up Midsommar, Ari Aster made an excellent first impression on the horror scene. So for this Halloween, I thought it would be fun to look back at the 8 short films Aster put out prior to taking the cinematic plunge in 2018. Let's see how his shorter length projects compare to the ones that would put his name on the map:

The Wings of Change
Charlotte sits in the Vermont coffeehouse her family has run for three generations. She stares out the window at the bright summer day, the picturesque scene doing nothing to alleviate the aching feeling in her chest. Otherwise, she'll have to relinquish the business her father had poured his heart and soul into. Dad, I'm so sorry. I wanted to keep this place alive for you. But...I don't know how I'm gonna get the money together in time.
