Plutonian Capricorn Full Moon = 🌶
Capricorn has always been one of the most serious signs as it’s ruled by one of the most serious planet, Saturn. To say the very least, this upcoming Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn will call forth the more practical sides of ourselves and ask us to slow down and be more methodical in our actions. Some of us who are more sensitive to energies can feel this a week prior to, while the vast majority who are spiritually in tune can start to see things unfolding three days before. As I am up at 5:30 in the morning, currently quarantined and writing this on July 11th, I think about everything that has happened leading up to this full moon. Guys… structures are breaking, and it’s apparent. This full moon is… *sings* choosing violence. Currently, we have all sorts of things happening on the world’s stage, and they’re things that are very serious and extreme. A “Full Moon” is when the Sun is opposite the Moon in the sky or heavens, revealing the natural satellite in its full splendor. On July 13th, the Sun will be in the last decan of the water sign Cancer at 21 degrees. We all have been in a preoccupation with all things Cancerian. Our roots, our family, our home, our security, and our emotions colouring the tone of July so far. Not only that, but wherever Cancer is in your personal birth chart is a theme that you have been exploring. For example, I just returned from a trip to Portugal. (Hence the quarantine) Looking at my chart, you can clearly see this, as Cancer rules my 9th house of foreign lands, new perspectives, and long-distance travels. The sign of Cancer is ruled by the Moon, a planet and luminary. This month brings extra importance to whatever the Moon is doing, and the moon does a lot, like every two-ish days. Meaning, any type of “Lunar activity” -Eclipses, New moons, full moons, moon transits, heck even just if you are born with the sun below the horizon- all of this relatively packs a punch in Cancer season. The Moon will be at 21 degrees in Capricorn, an earth sign, again, ruled by Saturn. Capricorn is a very “let’s get down to business” energy. It doesn’t necessarily have time for emotions like its opposite Cancer, and on the extreme, can even neglect them. Ah, that word extreme flew out of my fingers. I should now probably throw it in the pot that this full moon is in conjunction with our fave, (well my fave,) dwarf planet Pluto, and you know what they say, big things come in small packages. Pluto is the planet of extremity, control, and polarity, so this full moon is bound to have a potent and visceral, while also polarizing and transformative effect. It’s also divine retribution and karma (I like to think of Saturn as the traditional ruler of karma and Pluto as the modern ruler.) When the moon is full, it brings with it an illumination of sorts. A culmination of what we have sown, especially back around the time of January 2nd’s New Moon in Capricorn at the very beginning of this year. This full moon is looking to address where we all have been ignoring and repressing our emotions and right to live. Where we have been giving up our power to authority figures and structures or by possibly holding grudges, even sidestepping issues like the crab.

"Ring me up, Dante!"
“There weren’t always dragons in the Valley,” Andante read. His cadence fought between sounding like a piece of renowned literature and an oxymoron. “There were Phoenix” Azure finished. The two brothers looked at each other. It dawned on them that they had possibly found something incredibly sinister. A morse code only understood by the inhabitants of Jupiter. “Can you two bird brains, stop gawking at each other and move with some sense of urgency?” A tall man walked by them, his steps along the palace floor were graceful, yet displayed reluctance. Andante pulled his younger brother by the forearm just short of where the tattooed phrase “THEY WERE PHOENIX” rested in fancy Jupiterian calligraphy. He tailed after the handsome man keeping a vice grip on the sudden revelation. His gaze focused through the ceiling-high windows of the long corridor at the city, all the while making sure he didn’t fall behind. The eternal tempest in the Jupiterian skies roared as loud as usual at this time of Sol. From the farthest reach of their planet, the Jupiterians congregated by the millions in the sky of the capital, overshadowing the sounds of their very planet with their impatience and small talk. Flashes of blue, and white lightning lit up the sky, seemingly to have its own free will. They called them “Dragons.” It surged in and out through the haze and gas the planet emitted and acted as a gate to the innermost cities of Jupiter. Unlike Gaia’s white mist known as clouds, the haze enshrouding this planet are eternal catastrophes. Hurricanes, ice storms, and the most violent dragons flashing in the blink of an eye. The temperatures could freeze the grandest of asteroids should one ever threaten the magnificent royal capital, Lionheart. A blanket of soft red light fell upon a quarter of the planet, signifying nightfall had begun in some part of the world. The moon alternated each night, this night, the moonlight that covered that part of the planet was Io. It became more apparent the dragons were being pulled to an area in the sky where the palace sat in the center of the planet, although no one in the crowd took any particular notice. The brothers hadn't realized the man had disappeared. At the end of the corridor stood two designated exits on opposite ends that read "AZURE" and "ANDANTE", just short of a beautiful throne room and a grand terrace further down the hall. The brothers looked at each other. "Time to ride the dragons," Azure remarked and they fell backward outside. Almost immediately, the lightning struck them zapping their bodies leaving not a trace of stardust. A bolt of magnificent lightning struck the palace in a blinding light, fading momentarily. The dragons and the Jupiterians fell silent. The ceremony had begun.

Just because I’m the sign of mystery, doesn’t mean...
Scorpios are the most intense sign of the zodiac, I know, I’ve been one for the past twenty-seven or so years. When people hear the word “intensity” they automatically attribute the word to something negative, or to some sort of impending strife. Intensity to some folks, is almost like hearing the dramatic sound effect *DUN. DUN. DUNNN...* in a children's cartoon TV show. But as a Scorpio, I can attest that although there is a part of our experience that is like this, there is an entirely different spectrum of intensity that we rarely talk about. This article is primarily about my subjective view on how my zodiac sign relates to me. Based on research of my sign, the teachings and practice of Astrology, this also definitely applies to the majority of my Scorpion kin.
