Cruise Ship Diaries Part 2
I’d been told my first ship was going to be the Grand Princess and they had a spot for me as soon as I had for US seaman’s visa sorted out. Security at the US embassy in London was spectacularly tight and you were literally not allowed to take anything else in with you bar your documents so my parents came up for the trip. We’d left early on the train from Dover so there plenty of time for any delays before my appointment at 11am, I just didn’t realise how many delays we would encounter!

If your Taika Waititi and you've just had your biggest commercial and critical hit of your career with 'Thor:Ragnorok' then you can pretty much tell Hollywood what you want to do next and Taika wanted to make a comedy about a young German boy at the end of World War 2 and his imaginary friend Hitler.

Event Horizon TV Show in development at Amazon
Too often we harangue Hollywood when it comes remakes/reboots but once in a while there is a project that is perfect for a reboot, Event Horizon is that film. Directed by Paul W.S Anderson and written by Philip Eisner, it was released in 1997 and was a commerical and critical failure upon its release. It only made $26 million from a budget of $60 million but like many cult films found its audience on DVD, so much so that the studio asked Anderson to put together a direcors cut, unfortunately during this process they found that much of the original footage had not been stored correctly and is was either missing or unusable.

HBO Max & JJ Abrams to expand the story of 'The Shining' with Overlook Hotel series
When a beloved classic film is adapdated for TV, the first question is 'why?', usually followed by 'Why can't Hollywood leave classics alone? and 'Theres no originality anymore' and I'd usually agree but I think HBO Max and JJ Abrams could be onto a winner here.
