1899 Movie Review
Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar may not be household names, but they are arguably two of the most influential figures in streaming. Their sci-fi series Dark was Netflix’s first German-language original and proved a hit with audiences and critics across the globe, paving the way for Squid Game, Lupin, All Of Us Are Dead and a more global outlook to programming.

Wednesday Web Series Review
The first half of episodes of wednesday, a live-action Netflix series written by alfred Gough and Miles Millar, were directed by none other than the incredibly appropriate Tim Burton. All the elements come together to make wednesday a suitable coming-of-age, dark fantasy/horror story that stands up to the eponymous Addams Family moniker when you add fresh, eerie theme music from renowned composer Danny Elfman.

The Gray Man Movie Review
The Gray Man:Ryan Gosling may not have played a superhero (yet) but he gets closer than ever before in the mega-budget Netflix production “The Gray Man,” the streaming service's summer blockbuster from the directors of “Avengers: Endgame,” Anthony and Joe Russo. It’s understandable why Gosling would sign up and Netflix would open not just their wallet but an entire bank vault for the Russos to adapt the book by Mark Greaney, with an eye to starting a new mega-franchise of their own. However, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that Netflix has too little creative oversight over projects like these, just letting creators run off with their money and not really caring about what they deliver. After all, it fits the algorithm, right? People will watch “The Gray Man” by the millions. They just won’t be able to name a memorable thing about it a few days later. If this is the start of a franchise, and it almost certainly is, let’s hope “The Gray Man” finds a little more definition in future installments.

Naai Sekar Return Review
Naai Sekar Returns Movie Review: Though Vadivelu hasn't been in action for quite a few years, his comic one-liners stand the test of time and are an essential part of youngsters’ vocabulary in Tamil Nadu. That is why when Naai Sekar, his character in this comeback film, utters a few of his popular dialogues, the Vadivelu fan within us wants us to celebrate. But then, everything ends there. Suraaj, the director of Naai Sekar Returns, makes no effort to pen an interesting screenplay and merely relies on his star’s yesteryear jokes and antics. There are some really fun moments in the second half, but they don’t help the film much.

Raangi Movie Review
In an industry where women are often reduced to passive or secondary characters, Raangi, directed by M Saravanan and starring Trisha, offers a refreshing change. This power-packed and intelligent action thriller follows the story of a Chennai-based journalist who finds herself embroiled in an international terrorism plot in Tunisia.

Viking Wolf Movie Review
"Viking Wolf: Norway's First Werewolf Movie Delivers" Stig Svendsen's film, Viking Wolf, has been billed as Norway's first werewolf movie and it certainly doesn't disappoint. As a recent acquisition by Netflix, the movie delivers on its promise to showcase a wild lycan on the loose in a small Norwegian town. What sets this film apart from others in the genre is its unique adaptation of the werewolf myth, tailored to fit the Scandinavian environment.
