We as human beings have been used to suffering for so long in a myriad different forms. The idea that we can be truly happy can seem like a pipe dream to many of us at different times in life, and yet I have come to realize it is inevitable that we will achieve it; the real challenge is getting through the various stages along the way.

Gun Control and Human Freedom
I first want to express my condolences for all the victims and families of the recent shooting in Florida as well as all other innocent lives that have been taken by shootings in the past. Many people I speak with seem to become desensitized to these heinous acts of violence as they continue to happen all too often.

Big Pharma vs. Small Dealer
As a clinical counsellor I do not have the authority to prescribe people medications, and that is just fine by me. Having briefly been a client of big pharma as a teenager for depression and anxiety, I quickly realized that this type of intervention was not for me. Many clients I speak to these days have tried meds for a time and perhaps benefited from them in the beginning, but have been seeking more holistic and lasting solutions.

Secrecy Has Kept Us Sick
Human relationships have been dominated by various shades of dark secrecy for as long as the mind cares to remember. From a macro perspective we see skeletons dancing in the closets of entertainers, politicians, and business people as leaks and accusations bring all past dirty laundry to finally be washed.
