REVIEW - Ghosts Moving Flowers and Physical Mediumship (Directed by Karl Fallon)
In recent years there has been a huge increase in the popularity of TV ghost hunting shows, and shows with a focus on subjects of the supernatural and the paranormal on both sides of the pond, with shows like Ghost Adventures and Help! My House is Haunted spawning multiple series, and even celebrity specials, so this interesting documentary directed by Karl Fallon (Real Ghosts UK, Ghostcircle) should be well placed to capitalise on this growing interest.

REVIEW - Bake It Till You Make It (Directed by Jason Taglieri)
Bake It Till You Make It is the debut documentary feature of first-time filmmaker, Jason Taglieri. It is an inspiring and uplifting biographic story which focuses on Dayna Altman in her lived experience of mental health problems, and her journey towards recovery through therapy and a community-based organisation which she runs, of the same name as the movie; an organisation which is "dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness, normalizing mental health conversation and promoting authentic healing and recovery".

REVIEW - Don’t Bet the Horse you Rode in On (Cole Brakebill)
Don’t Bet the Horse you Rode in On is a short film which was written, produced, directed by and stars only one man - Cole Brakebill. Cole, originally from New Mexico, later studied music production in Texas (the latter also being the state where this film is set and our story takes place), which evidently shows as there is a strong musical aspect to the storytelling here, as our protagonist, Morris Bellinger, a lone traveller (minus his steed) rambles through a vast and desolate landscape en route to a cattle market, his journey punctuated by interludes where he pauses to read letters from Uncle C.Y. in scarce patches of shade amid the dust and sun-baked rocks.

REVIEW - FIRE SYNDROME (Directed by Jonathan Nolan)
Set in a futuristic alien world with a plot where "science turns on its creators due to the influence of a sinister force", FIRE SYNDROME promises to intrigue and entertain those with a liking for good stories and animated sci-fi, but sadly this short film doesn't really deliver on all fronts I had hoped.

'Consumed' is an engaging and dark short film from Los Angleles based director, J P Bradham - whose previous work includes the eerie and unnerving sci-fi short 'Proxy', and with this film also daring viewers to imagine a twisted dystopian future, it seems that fans of this genre are in for a treat yet again!
