Bio
Website, brand, graphic, and visual designer-in-learning, gamer, 3D modeller-in-learning... yeah, I like designing... also writing comics to preface a game I’m also designing. You should hopefully see the writing side of me quite a bit.

New World
So, how does one design a game exactly? Well, the creative process starts with an idea, of course; once you have that idea, it’s time to start fleshing it out. My first idea was to create a race of winged horses—but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The traditional winged horse is a pegasus, but do I really want to go that route? Maybe, or maybe I could expand it to other types of wings as well, like bat or dragon-type wings and insect—think butterfly and dragonfly—wings.

Git Goin on Design!
Git? What’s that? Version control... well, that doesn’t mean much to me. Wait, I can backup my projects with it? Excellent! THAT makes it useful! And helps me work with other developers on a code project without overwriting any of their parts—now we’re getting somewhere. So how do I do that? Apparently, there’s a tool called terminal native to a computer’s operating system—hmmm, *think* I’ve come across that before. Let’s see... Applications/Utilities/Terminal (apologies, Microsoft folks, using a Macintosh, so no idea where Terminal would be on your computers). So, time to fire up Terminal and take it for a test drive!

Wave Riders: Safety (Ch. 2)
The onyx mare moved more slowly these days due to pregnancy. Micha had had to request the help of another mare of the herd to help her see to her lead mare duties, as it was getting harder for her to get around quickly because of being near full term.

Gnome Stories - Volume 3
Læurell finished tacking up her wolfhawk mount for the morning ride, calling her leopard cat Cloudy over to join her once she was mounted. Frosty, her wolf, sat outside the barn, guarding his territory; white tiger Kuura was stretched out on the porch of the small cabin that was Læurell's abode. Shockwave, her stone dragon turtle, was dozing on the shore of her pond, soaking up the sun's morning rays.

Gnome Stories - Volume 2
Farewell to a Bloody Dream It was nice to be adventuring with her sisters again, Irean thought. Leaving Arcane Academy had been the right thing to do, as the people she'd adventured most with were long gone. But... she still couldn't stop the last thought. One person in particular she wished she could see one more time. He'd won her respect even before she'd joined the Academy, had been her mentor, maybe not in the same class of magic but certainly by heart. There had been a time when she'd thought she might be able to be his companion, but it was not to be. So she pushed the sadness, the regret, and the hurt down one more time, knowing that she'd have to keep doing so.

Wave Riders: Safety
Micha peered over his shoulder to assess the condition of his fellow travelers; to a being, they were tired, struggling to keep their wings flapping to maintain the precious foot of space between them and the water below. A colossal blue head broke the surface, followed by an even bigger shell. The bronze Vorum started circling to land, leading the rest of them to a landing on the shell. Upon landing, he began issuing orders.

Gnomes and Other Ponderings
Two years after World of Warcraft Online was released to the world, my sister and I joined in. Fresh from a disappointing refurbishment of the game Star Wars: Galaxies—which I swear didn’t need an overhaul at all, just little improvements—we set off to create characters in Azeroth. Gnomes? Who doesn’t love gnomes?! WoW gnomes are cuter than garden gnomes, by the way. Irean, my gnome frost mage, wasn’t my first toon—and definitely not the last—but she’s been my favourite all these years. I've been caught up in a new toon craze for awhile—especially any class that now has a gnome version—but I always find myself turning back to my mage. She started as frost and will stay frost so long as she exists. World of Warcraft was a big part of my life for eleven years. For now, I’m done with WoW, but I may eventually come back; but first an explanation of why this came about.
