The Polls, They May Be Right, They May be Wrong.
In 2007 I worked for a survey company. This is what we did, and therefore I watch polls, and also understand how subjective they are. My training started with explaining how Bill Clinton won his first Presidential election. He would give a speech, and then the survey company would poll people on their responses to his speech, and they would tweak the policy stances just enough to affect his appeal without losing current supporters. For example, if he made a statement about guns, they would survey people on how he could tweak that stance to appeal to more voters.

IT DOESNT MATTER IF WE CARE THAT TRUMP HAS COVID
This morning my 9-year-old, got up and opened his laptop to watch YouTube videos. I had over-slept because the kids were so quiet. I have a standing rule that the school day starts at 9 and if you have chosen not to eat breakfast, you can wait until 10:30 for a snack. He threw himself on the floor he cried and screamed at me that he needed food mind you it was 9:45; I did not deny him food for any length of time. There has to be a line somewhere, and my line is 9 a.m. This is the same child that was given a choice between a cookie and lunch at a restaurant and proudly gamed the system stating, “I choose both.”. Fast forward to an hour later when his brother and I were waiting for lunch and he was getting lunch at home, and he was screaming on the floor. The scenarios don't feel good, we don't hope that they happen, but they are necessary.

Watching The Notebook at 35
I watched the Notebook for the first time in a while, and it’s funny how time changes ones perception of these things. The Notebook would have been released when I was 18. Of course, I had seen A Walk to Remember and read the book. I periodically watch The Notebook, but each time I become less enthralled. I think the combination of not being pummeled by the emotional roller coaster, maturity, and being a in a long term relationship makes it less and less appealing.

Show Me Your Facts
I have a personal admission. I love to argue on the internet, I love to google, and provide evidence, I kind of want people to prove me wrong. My brain loves puzzles, I make puzzles of things that arent puzzles. I have been known to try to get people to just openly admit what they are alluding to or draw the lines to the meme that was shared, and the implications of that belief system.

Joss Whedon Has Been Telling Us He's Toxic All Along
I have been re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because my pandemic self only wants to watch things I have already seen. Coincidentally I am also seeing all these stories about Joss Whedon and speculation that he is incredibly toxic. His facade of feminism has lasted him the span of his 30 year career with only a few hints at its faults in his public persona. That is if you don’t watch closely, the only direct evidence was the theories surrounding his firing Charisma Carpenter from angel. Angel, Giles, Spike, Xander, are all incredibly toxic men who get a supernatural write off.
