Living Congruently in an Incongruent World
Congruence is a term commonly found in psychology, philosophy, chemistry, and mathematics. While each field defines it somewhat differently, its meaning stems from the Latin origin of "to come together and correspond with."

Micro Concepts Seen Through A Macro Lens
Before reading, please observe the cover photo for ten seconds. Don't cheat. Hubble Ultra Deep Field The cover image attached to this entry is a well-known photograph taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. The picture itself showcases a view of nearly 10,000 galaxies and is now referred to as the Hubble Ultra Deep Field. All credit to NASA, ESA, and the HUDF team for attaining the incredible shot back in the early 2000s. The image required more than 800 exposures and was taken over the course of 400 Hubble orbits around Earth. In short, the total exposure time was 11.3 days, making it one of the most challenging and impressive achievements in photography to date. The blend of scientific and artistic expertise that came together to secure the final image is certainly still deserving of admiration, even two decades later.

Learnings From Launching A Kickstarter Campaign
During the past four months, my co-host, Ella McFarland, and I worked zealously to put together a Kickstarter campaign for Highly Inspired Podcast. For those who aren’t already aware, Kickstarter is a leading crowdfunding website that startup businesses leverage for gaining support and funding projects. After doing a significant amount of research into what crowdfunding resources fit our needs, we concluded on launching our project on Kickstarter.

Architect or Archaeologist
It is no question that architecture and archaeology are universally different in many categories. Architecture, being the art of building or designing structures, isn’t quite a scientific study. Granted, some components to architecture do involve scientific approaches and mathematical thinking; however, the overall field isn’t necessarily a branch of science. On the other hand, archaeology qualifies as a form of science. As the study of human history through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts, archaeology is the apex of discovery. In a literal sense, archaeologists dedicate their careers to discovering how people of the past lived and moved across landscapes to piece together ancient human culture. Moreover, they physically dig up past material, even human remains.

Zuckerberg's Most Wicked Tech Yet
Snoop Dogg spent $630,000 on a digital home in the metaverse. I repeat, Snoop Dogg spent over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS on a non-physical asset in an intangible augmented reality. Among thousands of other early adopters of the Metaverse, Snoop Dogg is not the only individual to have dropped an insane amount of money on a computerized pad. In fact, thousands of investors are paying millions for virtual land in the metaverse because they consider it the next massive trend in real estate. Massive shifts in social media, gaming, investing, online dating, work-life balance, culture, and how we view the physical world as a whole are all key examples of what is approaching with the debut of the Metaverse.

Minecraft: The OG Metaverse
One of my all-time favorite games as a kid was Minecraft. If you were born in the late ’90s or early 2000s, there is a 99% chance that you either knew what it was, watched someone play it, or played the game yourself. Minecraft wasn’t the first-ever computer game to hit the market. Many other internet companies released immersive-style games before Mojang hit the scene. Between Sims, Detective Barbie, and messing around on Miniclip playing every possible mini-game I could find, I had my fair share of exposure to computer games far before discovering Minecraft. I think what made the first impression of Minecraft so hard-hitting was the fact it was so enormous. For example, other games, such as Sims, were totally 2-dimensional and insinuated to the player that there were only specific confines and boundaries associated with each game-play behavior; therefore, it gave off a much more linear playing feel. Entering the world of Minecraft for the first time was a much more riveting experience. There was no 2-dimensional feel or seemingly any confines to what a player could do; it was the opposite.

The Formula For Resistance
Resistance is a refusal to give in or something that slows down or prevents something from continuing. For example, in physics, resistance typically refers to the amount an object impedes or resists in an electric current. In everyday life, examples of resistance are apparent to us all the time. For instance, when children are introduced to a new set of parenting tactics, they may be resistant. Or, when technology companies launch new technological capabilities that may seem far-fetched, society might not be as accepting of their innovations. In companies, large groups of people often tend to resist changes in their organization and maintain the status quo. Similarly, on a grand scale, let’s say an entire country perhaps - individuals tend to resist change due to wanting to hold onto the security that traditional approaches to life can bring.
