Leaves on the Ground
Clouds of smoke in the air. A bird with a stare. A leaf on the ground. Take a step, mon frere. Don't let trouble weigh you down; heavy is a frown. What weighs heavier than gold? False reason. Be proud. What lasts in the day doesn't last in a year; false perception between your ears.

New Paws
In the dismay of the sand brown dunes, an animal sat sternly with fur just born. What the fur animal knew about the world wasn't much, but it sensed the world around it, so that was enough. When it came to moving, it didn't know how but moved on its paws as fast as a snail. What happened next only the animal could know; it was hungry for food and thirsty, so it howled. It winced at the thought of how hungry it was, and then a bowl appeared in its view, perchance. Hesitation, not a bit in walking over to see if it was what it thought. Sustenance for free. Enjoying the feast that appeared out of the blue, it took a moment to wonder at the world. It was new.
