The Book for the Recently Deceased
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn’t my own. It showed an empty room, the room in which I now stood but my reflection was absent. Over my shoulder, the reflection matched perfectly. The same paintings, furniture, and coffee table. It was as though the mirror could see through me like I wasn’t standing there at all.

The Hunter
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. I watched them dance away into the sun set, as I lay in the grass watching as the day light hours crept away. The forest around me grew dark until there was no light left. I watched as stars began to twinkle into existence.

The Call of the CloudsTop Story - February 2023
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. I watched them form out of thin air as the sun began to set and a low humming sound vibrated through the air. Something between a soft lullaby you might sing to a new born and the low buzzing of a disturbed beehive. It began to grow in volume as the clouds changed colour. Covering the entire skyline in an ominous dark purple, eclipsing the sunset.

A Tale of Thieves (Part One)
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blush sky. I watched as the kitchen smoke stack belched the purple clouds into existence. I secretly wondered what the palace staff were having for dinner this evening. My stomach growled at the thought of a warm meal, it had been so long since I had anything worthwhile to eat. I felt a twinge of regret that I hadn’t finished the last couple of crackers in the box, back at headquarters.
