We Will Probably See A Boba Fett Show Before We See 'Mandalorian' Season 3
The Mandalorian season 2 may have only recently premiered, but it's come with its own new wave of rumors. The most recent one was centered around its cameo of an original trilogy favorite, Boba Fett (Temura Morrison). The Mandalorian is no stranger to references to the larger Star Wars universe for fans to find, but this has been the most blatant one to date.

The Real Reason Bo-Katan Wants The Darksaber
Every avid Star Wars fan knows about the Darksaber and how mysterious and important it is in the Star Wars lore. The Darksaber has some special qualities that the other lightsabers do not. It is one of a kind. This makes it long sought after. But one of the main reasons why it is so sought after is that if a Mandalorian holds the Darksaber, they can rule Mandalore, the homeworld of the Mandalorian clans. The Empire ruined the planet, driving the Mandalorians from their homeland.

The Purpose Of The Empire in ‘The Mandalorian'
On the latest episode of The Mandalorian season 2, “The Heiress,” there were a lot of surprises for the Star Wars fans around the world even within the 32-minute runtime. We see the reveal of fan favorite Bo-Katan Kryze played by Katee Sackhoff, who actually did the voice of Bo-Katan Kryze herself in the hit animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Then we also got to see a giant sea creature. But the biggest reveal of all was by Titus Welliver, who played the unnamed captain commanding a fully functioning Imperial cruiser and a large amount of well-armed stormtroopers. It was such a stark contrast with the look of the first season's battle-hardened stormtroopers on Navarro.

How George Lucas’ Sequel Trilogy Ideas Could Be Adapted
By now, you may have heard some recent tidbits about what George Lucas' sequel trilogy ideas would have included. We knew that he came up with the idea of Luke being in exile and dying in the middle chapter, as well as the idea of a young female Jedi being at the center of it all. But here are the key points we learned more recently: Leia would have been the Chosen One and the Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic, Luke would have started to rebuild the Jedi Order at some point, stormtroopers would have holed up on their own planets, and Darth Maul would have returned with Darth Talon as an apprentice.

'The Mandalorian' Finally Fixes An Age Old Problem In 'Star Wars'
The original Star Wars movies are great movies, classic films that spurred on generations of new movies, TV shows, books, comics and video games. But if there is one thing I don't like about Star Wars, it's the use of clichés – something in which the original trilogy is as guilty as sin. Obi-Wan Kenobi is the cliché “wise man” character that is the mentor of the hero – a bearded, elderly gent who gives our young, male, energetic protagonist all kinds of help and advice and ends up sacrificing himself to the villain. At the time, the cliché suited the purpose, but in retrospect, it has dated really badly and highlights a major problem with the Star Wars films – characters' ages. With Bo-Katan's appearance in season 2 of The Mandalorian, things are looking up for the removal of ageist bias.

It's well known that Star Wars fans don't do things in half measures. When there is a debate about something, the fans will hold on to their opinions and fight with them to the bitter end. The oldest and fiercest debate is the one simply known as "Han shot first."

The Quarren Have Been Given A Special Spotlight In 'The Mandalorian' Season 2
One of the best things about Star Wars is the alien species and creatures that are seen throughout. While for the most part the main characters tend to be human, there are other species that have major roles in the shows, especially in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The Mandalorian is no exception to this rule of showcasing some of the most fascinating space creatures. In the second season of The Mandalorian, we see a special highlight of a few species that we know already from the movies and shows. The Frog Lady, featured first in the cantina in “Chapter 5: The Gunslinger” from season 1, is brought back for a more prominent role in season 2. The Mon Calamari and the Quarren from the planet Mon Cala are 2 more species highlighted and brought in via season 2's “Chapter 11: The Heiress."

George Lucas' Sequel Trilogy Made Leia "The Chosen One"
It's long been known that George Lucas planned a sequel trilogy himself long before the one under Disney took shape in recent years, but now, thanks to Taschen's upcoming book The Star Wars Archives: 1999-2005, we finally have insight into what could have been if we got to see Lucas' own sequel trilogy as planned. It is now revealed that it would have been focused around Leia Organa-Solo and poised her as the Chosen One, leading the New Republic during Luke's efforts to rebuild the Jedi. Alongside that, we know that it would have starred a resurrected Darth Maul with "mechanical legs" as he became "the godfather of crime in the universe" with another antagonist under him, Darth Talon, who was poised as "the new Darth Vader."

Mark Hamill Comparing The U.S. Presidents To The Original Trilogy Titles
Everyone who knows Star Wars well enough knows Mark Hamill's iconic role as Luke Skywalker. They may also be familiar with his sense of humor, which was more present within the character at certain points in The Last Jedi. So it is probably not so surprising that, last weekend, he shared a meme that includes images of the past two US presidents and the incoming president, with each face accompanied by a different title from the original trilogy.

Greef Karga Actor Carl Weathers Directed This Episode Of 'The Mandalorian'
Many TV shows will have multiple directors per season or throughout the entire show. Bringing Star Wars into the TV show/streaming world has allowed for multiple directors to be attached to the series in a fashion similar to other TV shows. So far, many episodes throughout The Mandalorian have been directed by different people. Because of this, Lucasfilm is able to infuse new voices to bring differing perspectives, ideas, and thought processes to the franchise all while spreading their umbrella of talent in an effort to create an amazing show. Having multiple directors helps the show not get too stale as it brings in new twists or methods of telling a story with every episode.
