The Pursuit
Monica's heart was racing. She didn't expect to be found out at a crowded nightclub, but she was, and she raced out of there in a flash. Monica walked as fast as she could, but it seemed like the pursuit was still continuing. It wasn't far between the club and the building she lived in, and Monica managed to enter the building and make it safely in the elevator.

The Hallowed Career of Jarome Iginla
Earlier this month, it was announced that Jarome Iginla would return to the team where he still serves as a household name: the Calgary Flames, but in a front office position, as the advisor to the general manager. I often beam when I hear the name Jarome Iginla, not just as a diehard hockey fan, but as a diehard Black hockey fan as well. The man affectionately known as "Iggy" set a huge bar overall for hockey, but for Black players and hockey fans, he would become the undisputed measuring stick.

CFL Week 2 Recap: The Champs Are Here
And so it begins. It was a grand day for the Toronto Argonauts. They received their beautiful Grey Cup Championship rings, and they raised the banner in front of a raucous crowd at BMO Field in Toronto. For this Argos fan, I was waiting for this day, the Argos' season opener. I still remember the happiness I felt as I watched the Argos win the Grey Cup against a Winnipeg Blue Bombers team who was looking to win their third straight. When the season opened last week, I would find out that I'd have to wait an additional week for the Argos, as the champs had opening week off.

Reviewing AEW Collision's Premiere Episode
I remember being excited over the premiere of AEW Collision, especially due to what would come with the show. Based on what I read, this show is part of AEW's equivalent of a "brand split," if you will. The idea is due to some growing tensions between some members of the AEW roster, so the company decided to add a second two-hour program with a separate roster from their flagship show, Dynamite--with the move also including the shutdown of web shows Dark and Dark: Elevation. The last few weeks prior to the premiere saw announcements regarding future destinations for the show, as well as the site of the premiere episode: Chicago.

A Devious Heist
Tamara Dawson couldn't believe what she had done. Even as she drove away from the bank, she couldn't believe what she had done. It wasn't until she returned home and removed her mask that the reality had set. The bank she left: she had just robbed it.

Pros and Cons: Bianca Belair's Slow Burning Heel Turn
I've been a fan of Bianca Belair since she started in WWE, and it's hard to believe that she's actually been in WWE for seven years now! She started out in NXT as a villainess, proclaiming herself as the "EST of WWE," using every superlative to describe herself in the brash-EST (see what I did there?) of fashion. Though she never won the NXT Women's Championship, Bianca built one hell of a tenure on NXT before getting her call-up to the main roster. In her debut, Bianca became a babyface and came to the aid of the Street Profits, consisting of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford (the latter half being Bianca's real-life husband).

Stating the Obvious: The DCEU Has a Toxic Actor Problem
Hard to believe, but the DC Extended Universe celebrated 10 years on June 10, 2023. It was on June 20, 2013 that the film, Man of Steel, hit the big screen and kicked off DC's equivalent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that began five years prior. Man of Steel began Henry Cavill's stint as Superman, and also featured Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Antje Traue as Faora-Ul.

Stanley Cup Final Game Five: What Happens in Vegas...
Well, it happened. The Vegas Golden Knights are the 2023 Stanley Cup Champions, and they did not mess around in Game Five of the Stanley Cup Final. The Florida Panthers were completely demoralized entering this game; they couldn't muster a comeback in Game Four on their home ice, and even worse, they had to play Game Five without their anchor, Matthew Tkachuk. Something told me that this would be it for the Panthers, and while I was right, I was not expecting the Panthers to completely phone it in.

Finals Game Five: Joker's Wild. Top Story - June 2023.
When the Denver Nuggets took Games Three and Four so so easily in Miami, I knew that it would be over. I was looking forward to Game Five, because it was back in Denver's Ball Arena, and the Nuggets have a good chance to clinch their very first NBA Championship on their home court. To be honest, I expected the Nuggets to flat out demolish the Miami Heat--you know, just get it over with and celebrate.

Villainess Review: Angela Martin (Body of Proof)
I remember ABC's Body of Proof series, and I enjoyed binge-watching the entire show a few years back. The series starred Dana Delany as neurosurgeon-turned-medical examiner Megan Hunt, whose efforts have resulted in several different killers (and other criminals) exposed and convicted. As the series established, Megan experienced tragedy at an early age: the sudden death of her father, David Hunt, from what was believed to be a suicide.

CFL Week 1 Recap: New Season, New Network, Same Awesome League
Here we go! The Canadian Football League is back! This calendar year has been amazing, as it's the first to see pro football fully year round. The XFL returned to play in February and crowned a champion in May. The USFL is in their second season back in play, and is currently in the home stretch. Now, the summer football league is here--the last football season to start before the NFL returns. The CFL returns with the same nine teams, the same format, and with the same goal for said teams: the Grey Cup. But there is one difference for viewers outside of Canada, and it comes in the form of telecasts.
