Common Man's View: 'The Cloverfield Paradox'
I call it a common man's review because I have no experience as a critic, no mastery of language to make me a great wordsmith, and no power over my own mind to break through my own opinions. These are really becoming less like reviews though and more like rants about things within movies in general. With that said, J.J Abrams is a genius and the Cloverfield series of movies is something I hope never comes to an end...and after this movie, I suspect it won't.

Common Man's View: 'Bright'
I call it a common man's review because I have no experience as a critic, no mastery of language to make me a great wordsmith, and no power over my own mind to breakthrough my own opinions. These are really becoming less like reviews though, and more like rants about things within movies in general. But hey, Will Smith, amiright?

Common Man's View 'iBoy'
I call it a common man's review because I have no experience as a critic, no mastery of language to make me a great wordsmith, and no power over my own mind to breakthrough my own opinions. With that being said, I find myself quite in awe of the minds behind the great works of science fiction. Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, George Lucas, The Wachowskis—what, did you think it was all old masterpieces? Every fantasy I have seems to revolve around some great scientific breakthrough-typically time travel or teleportation. iBoy though—well that would suit me just as well.

Common Man's View: 'The Ritual'
I call it a common man's review because I have no experience as a critic, no mastery of language to make me a great wordsmith, and no power over my own mind to breakthrough my own opinions. With that being said, I am torn between having great admiration for horror creators and their creations, and myself being possessed of an unending well of fear. One might dive into my psyche and see every horror movie I have ever seen still tearing at the edges of my sanity every night as I lie in bed.

2,000 Years of 'Final Fantasy'
Today I beat the first Final Fantasy (FF) game—albeit in the re-released Final Fantasy Origins for PlayStation 1 (PS1) format—and I feel accomplished. It's weird, I didn't really benefit anything from this, I am no closer to owning my dream computer, my wallet is not a nanometer thicker, and—at least for the time being—I've made no new social connections due to this. Yet, for whatever reason, finishing that game, reaching that all too distant credits screen, really filled me with joy.

Rise of the Oni King Part 2
Diolnaga did not sit on his throne, like so many would, in that barren camp. After moments of deliberation with mother, Diolnaga dispatched three of the four guardsmen who remained to find and return his fleeing subjects, explaining that Diolnaga would be kind to any who returned. The fourth, he questioned:

'Final Fantasy Tactics' PS1 Review
Nearly a year ago I said to myself, in a passing moment of genius or idiocy, that it would be a brilliant idea to sit down and play games that were released exactly 20 years ago, for a few hours, and then post online about my experiences with these games. This initially led me down a dark path; with 2017 being an overly busy year I experienced only a handful of my intended games—Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, Spawn: The Eternal and Fallout—and that handful left me utterly disappointed.

Rise of the Oni King Part 1
Our story begins, as many stories do, a long time ago in a distant land, with the birth of our hero. He is born, as all of his people are, during a great storm that tears the land asunder. Lightning cracks and thunder rocks the earth in a plains-land where a tribe of red-skinned, brown-haired beings reside. These creatures are known as Onis, and legend has it that whenever an Oni mother goes into labor her great pain causes even the heavens to protest, so was the case when Diolnaga was born.

Innocent Digital Piracy
This is a question that will find both a great amount of support and probably an even greater amount of negative response; all the same, I ask the question and make my own argument: “Who does digital piracy hurt under these specific circumstances?”

The Author Calmed
A success, and so it continues. Driven by a properly made cup of coffee, renewed vigor, and rediscovered inspiration, I set to work on the rewrite that will truly satisfy me. A story that I am certain will one day, in the not so distant future, make it onto a store shelf somewhere. For hours, I pound at my keyboard, not just on the meat, but also recreating an outline and squeezing information out of the web until I am certain of what I want to do.
