Halloween Essentials: Part 1
Halloween is my favorite time of the year. I know it's still about two months off, but my projects here and on my gaming channel Cool Media get me planning ahead of time for it. Besides, with the nightmare 2020 has been, preparing for my favorite time is providing a much needed pick-me-up. Yeah, planning stuff about murderous undead fiends to make me feel better...

The Joy of Retro
I've been a gamer almost my entire life. I was wrapping my hand around an Atari 2600 joystick before I was even in kindergarten. In fact, when people on Twitter label those who started gaming with Halo on the original Xbox as "old-school", I can't help but laugh.

'Fuller House' - An Old Fan's Take
I talked about the prevalence of nostalgic reboot TV shows a while back when I talked about Cobra Kai. In that article, I brought up Fuller House, the sequel series to Full House, one of the most loved and ridiculed sitcoms of all time. At the time, it felt like a gender-flipped rehash of its parent series. Those remarks were made when the show had only one season eating up space on people's Netflix queues. Now that the show had come to an end after five seasons (three seasons less that the original show, by the way), it's time that I give my thoughts on how Fuller House turned out.

Forgotten Quests: The "Other" PS2 RPGs
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I've leveled up in my quest for the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. I'm a huge RPG nerd. In fact, I've already done three articles spotlighting RPGs on the original Playstation, the original Xbox, and the Sega Saturn that either didn't get enough attention at the time or have been largely left behind by history. Now, it's time to do the same for the console named as one of the greatest ever... the Playstation 2.

An Upbeat Playlist for Downbeat TimesTop Story - July 2020
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings, and, man, the world needs some right now. Let's face it. 2020 is turning out to be one of the most downbeat, depressing years in our lifetimes. With political upheaval (especially in the U.S.), a global pandemic, and race riots, I'm not surprised that people are trying desperately to escape the madness any way they can with methods from drinking to social isolation.

'Behind the Music' - My 10 Favorite Episodes
Since college, I've been a fan of biographical shows. Even though I've enjoyed episodes of Biography on A&E and the various specials on the History Channel, my favorite has always been VH1's Behind the Music. The range of artists and events in rock history featured kept things from getting stale, and the writing and narration by Jim Forbes made the stories of even maligned acts like Milli Vanilli fascinating.

'Final Fantasy 13' - Lightning Strikes Down the Middle
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances where my focus is fighting for the maligned, forgotten, and ignored. Final Fantasy fever has reignited more than it has in years thanks to the phenomenal success of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake. I'm playing it myself, and, even though it'll never take the spot on my favorite games list away from the original version on the original Playstation, it is still a great reimagining of the first major part of Cloud's story. I've been a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise long before it was considered cool to be one. I own all the major installments of the franchise and even a good number of the spin-offs. Even though I've only finished a few of them (since I tend to jump among different games), I've enjoyed them all. You know one of the ones I HAVE finished? The much-derided Final Fantasy XIII.
