5 Unexplained Natural Phenomena That You Won't Believe Happened!
1: You come to sunny California and go for a hike in the Santa Lucio mountains there you have a strange unpleasant feeling as if someone's watching you look around but don't see a single soul that's when you glance at the tops of distant mountains in front of you and your heart skips a beat up on the Peaks you can see the outline of giant humanoid figure arms stretched out with a magnificent full rainbow circling it this mysterious figure is dressed in all black you can't make out any facial expressions or detail but you can see it moving then it vanishes right before your eyes congrats you've just witnessed The Dark Watchers a phenomenon that's been terrifying hikers in the California mountains for over 300 years even now scientists can't give an exact explanation for this mysterious appearance what we do know is it's completely natural uh probably one Theory claims that there are no Silhouettes at all in the human brain just thinks up images created by Shadows the clouds cast on the mountains over the centuries people share stories about This legend and their minds begin to show it building recognizable images the The same can happen to you like when you see The contours of a human face on a burnt piece of toast or the shape of a dog in a passing Cloud is the most accepted scientific explanation is what's called a Brocken Spectre it's when sunlight gets bent by drops of fog or clouds that explain the rainbow surrounding these figures as for the shadow it's only your own being stretched and projected on the mountains before you after all these figures usually show up when the sun is behind the witness natural or not the vanishing mysterious figure scared the wits out of you.

5 Strange Things Discovered That Will Make Your Jaw Drop
1: Saqqara bird is made of a sycamore tree the birdie has a wingspan of just 7 in and weighs around 40 g a perfect original souvenir from Egypt I would say it's over 2,000 years old and looks pretty plain without any carvings of feathers or other intricate ornaments it has a beak and eyes though which makes our fine look like a hawk the emblem of the deity Horus its tail is rather unusual as it's squared looks weirdly upright and it seems like the sunken part of it was the place for a now missing piece humans love solving a good mystery so there have been several attempts to explain the use of the birdie first quite simply is that it was a ceremonial object the second idea is that it was a toy for a child from some well--of family it could have been some sort of boomerang which was a popular Concept in ancient Egypt then there was a theory that the bird had been used as a Weather Vein but this one has been debunked as the figure doesn't have any holes or markings except for the one made at the Museum in Cairo to fix the exhibit on a stick so there was no way to hang it in the past almost a century after the bird was found Egyptologist Dr. Khalil MSA proposed a new theory that it could have been a model of a monoplane he believed the bird was missing a horizontal tail plane otherwise it had its wings set at a right angle similar to that of modern planes it could have worked to generate the aerodynamic lift necessary for flights Dr. MSA also claimed that it was common at that time to place miniature models of technological inventions in tombs so did the ancient Egyptians really invent the plane in 200 BCE that would make the wright brothers who are considered the inventors of Aviation really really upset they made one of their first flights only in 1903 there's just one way to know for sure and that is to test the model but you know the ancient Museum in Cairo would unlikely let one of their cherished exhibits fly around like a toy that's why glider designer Martin Gregory built a similar model this time a balsawood and concluded that even with the missing tail plane the plane wasn't much of a flyer case solved not really this didn't sound convincing enough to the History Channel so they invited an aerodynamics expert to build another replica of the bird he tested it in weather conditions similar to those in Egypt and was impressed with the little plain's abilities so if they did invent the Prototype of a plane back in the times of pharaohs it would be a good example of an art that's an out-of-place artifact an object that's way ahead of its time in terms of technology or history.

The Most Absurd Beauty Trends from Times Gone By
1: I'm sure you're already using a bunch of creams and serums at home to help you achieve Flawless skin there are so many different brands and types of products out there that it's even hard to choose one well women in ancient Rome however didn't have that many options instead what they used was sweat and to add to the grossness of it all it was not their own back in those days Gladiators were viewed to be symbols of fierce power who dazzled Roman ladies so their sweat would be scraped from their bodies using a special metal tool called a "strigil" and sold inside small pots outside the arena some bought it as souvenirs some would wear it as perfume and others would apply it as a form of face cream to smoothen the appearance of their skin however one important thing to be mentioned here is the fact that most of the time this unusual ingredient was available to wealthy or aristocratic women because of how expensive they were wearing any type of makeup was thought to be an indication of belonging to the lower class and was deemed dishonorable so applying sweat to their face was one of the few ways wealthy women thought would enhance their natural beauty.

Two Shocking Discovery About Spiders
In 2008 NASA had an intriguing question how do spiders assemble their webs in zero gravity? In order to find the answers they sent two spiders to the International Space Station the first spider was the main participant while the second served as a backup in case the first one didn't survive however things didn't go according to plan the backup spider managed to escape from its chamber and visited its companion resulting in a bit of a mess they built tangled webs that interfered with each other as if that wasn't enough the flies that were supposed to be food for the spiders started reproducing faster than anticipated their larvae escaped from their container and covered the front window of the chamber over time the spiders were completely hidden behind the larvae although this initial experiment didn't go well one of the researchers involved in planning the spider experiment was still curious in 2011. But she got another opportunity to repeat the same experiment this time she sought assistance from other researchers they decided to send a different species of spider into space and prepared four spiders two for the ISS and two for Earth allowing for result comparison the goal was to expose the spiders to varying gravity conditions and observe their behavior however another twist appeared in the story initially they believed they had four female spiders but it turned out that two of them were actually males determining the sex of young spiders can be tricky but fortunately one male had already been sent to space while the other remained on Earth enabling valuable data collection the second experiment proved successful. The spiders were active they built and dismantled webs and even without the assistance of gravity they spun new ones three cameras captured thousands of pictures showcasing their hard work on the webs interestingly it seemed that spiders created significantly more symmetrical webs in space than on Earth the center of the webs was closer to the middle and surprisingly the spiders didn't always position their heads downward as they typically do on Earth however one significant factor made all the difference light when the spiders on the ISS had a source of light they weaved asymmetrical webs similar to those found on our home planet light played a crucial role in orienting the spiders in Space the chamber's lamps were attached at the Top If the lights had been positioned differently for example on the side it would have been challenging to observe the effect on light on the symmetry of webs in zero gravity when the lights were turned off the spiders rested in random orientations within their webs yet with the lights on they would Orient themselves away from the light source which meant downward hence in the absence of gravity light assisted them in orientation this discovery was unexpected because spiders can typically build their webs in the dark and capture prey effectively even without light.
