Dana here, AKA Doc, AKA Bro. I want to point out this one that was just published by my Sissy, Heather. It's a sad, but beautiful note to a departed friend: https://vocal.media/poets/wildflowers-282i40h2j

I write but for fun only
I'm not sure about a lot of other people, but the COVID pandemic and quarantine gave me a severe case of writer's block. I'm proud to say that I am finally coming out of it and have been writing with intensity ever since. I challenged myself to write three stories before the end of October. Here are the first two: https://vocal.media/horror/discount-tuesday https://vocal.media/horror/object-of-desire-20iw0yc4

JÅ«lija Bite is a name we've been hearing more and more of lately, and rightly so, for she's not only an accomplished poet but also one of the greatest communicators I've encountered on Vocal. With JÅ«lija you know that what you're going to hear, whether it's praise or part of a continuing conversation, will be a considered response meant straight from the heart. I hardly need point out what a valuable commodity that is these days! As an example, I can't resist pointing you at an atypical piece of hers, a superb in-depth academic consideration of Romeo and Juliet expressed in the kind of language that can be followed by all. I have a feeling you'll enjoy it just as much as I did! https://vocal.media/fiction/why-i-hate-romeo-and-juliet-sorry-shakespeare

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see a poem of mine be nominated on the thread twice in the past. Despite the two noms it has not received a TOP STORY honor. VOCAL, I'd like to share it again with the hope that it may be chosen this time. Thank you. Here it is:https://vocal.media/poets/not-welcomed-anymore

Hello I would like to nominate Rick Henry Christopher for Top Story. He wrote an ultra-inspiring article on African-American Brothers throughout history that have accomplished great things. It is excellent. Here is the link:https://vocal.media/men/from-struggle-to-success-remarkable-stories-of-african-american-brothers
