Write Club Rules!

The new project I am working on (Chasm of Madness) will have some interactive writing prompts. I hope you will join along and become a member of Write Club!

The first prompt comes from Chapter 1:

โ€œThe Challenge for Week One is simple: Write an obituary or eulogy. It can be for yourself, for someone you know, or for a famous or fictional character, but it doesnโ€™t have to be for an individual, either. Be dark, or humorous, or solemn and reverent. Be creative. Be out-of-the-ordinary. Help me understand who the departed is, or rather was.โ€ โ€“ Eliot (โ€œChasm of Madnessโ€)

  1. Write an Obituary (or Eulogy). It can be for anyone or anything, real or imagined, and you choose the format and style (make it in the style of a traditional newspaper obituary, a headstone epitaph, a funeral oration, or write a poem, a short story, a haiku, a limerick, or a villanelle) โ€” you decide the format. โ€œI wanna see us push the outer limits of our creative abilities.โ€
  2. There is no word limit, and it does not matter what Community your entry is submitted to.
  3. I have provided several AI-generated images for inspiration. You may use one (or more) of these images for your story or select your own if you prefer.
  4. You may work solo or collaborate, but only one entry per Author.
