Why it's Important to Rebranding?

I have learned so much from this three week journey.

Creativity:

It is important to know when venturing into rebranding an idea, author brand, book product to figure out what works for us. Putting our whole world into another persons fingertips can be very daunting. Here is an example of what I did step by step...

I used to hate the business aspect of writing. I didn't know what I was doing. Until I started watching new acclaimed authors on YouTube there was this one in particular who used to do what I did before the world got me. As seasoned authors before the world got us what did we do? It was about the fun of writing. Trying new things without fair holding us back. Fear held me back because I listened to the normies of society. Because I thought outside the box to much. And no one likes who thinks differently apart from them.

๐‘ด๐’š ๐‘น๐’†๐’ƒ๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’…๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ:

When I thought of rebranding and business aspect of writing, and my business OCD Queen Books (coming soon) I thought about these for things.

1.) What is my target audience?

2.) Why did I become an author?

3.) What designs matter to me?

4.) Can't I add a creative balance to my business and author projects?

Then it hit me, after the fourth question it's my business brand it's my name brand I can do whatever I want.

1st Strategy:

Sharing something interesting about yourself with the demographic your trying to reach.

Note to everyone who reads this... What may work for me, may not work for you. My hope is to inspire others, to draw from my ideas.

2nd Strategy: Find someone who doesn't do what you do.

Drawing inspiration from acclaimed new authors here is mine. Her name is Ana Neu. She is an acclaimed author from Australia. I used to be here when I was first starting out.

Content creator note:

Or in my case what I used to do before the world and society got it's claws into me.

She is the first acclaimed author who uses ChatGPT and I have used it from time to time.

Using Milanote I have been using for months running into this by accident on google.

Her ideas have inspired a lot of my old tendencies I had back in early 2008.

3rd Strategy:

Figuring out where I want to start first on rebranding.

I choose my author name...

Louise Blake-Michael: I choose this name because it's a pseudonym for my author and brand. We all know my name very well. It's a brand all itself on good.

Content creator note: Don't pretend you don't do this as well (hehehe).

I wanted to try something new I have used this pseudonym a long time ago (Mommow) helped me figure out that name. I used added the "Michael" because my husband's social media surname is Michael so his noisy family can't find him.

So that was my first thoughts Author name rebranding. For some this can be very time consuming, but the way I did it wasn't that bad. I used platforms like Canva, and google doc just to draw map for what I'm trying to do. Also made to-do lists what I want to accomplish.

Canva has been my graphic design heroine. This has been my salvation and mostly just playing around to.

Might I had using Canva is just a prototype for something much more creative to come....

An example of my many creative ways of name rebranding

Strategy 4: When trying to figure out rebranding an author name apart from your legal name it's important to consider these three things.

1.) consider it a new beginning.

2.) Don't be afraid to play around (use creativity vibes)

3.) Figure out what works for me.

Manuscripts | Project Names::

Using project names or code words make things so much more exciting. Using platforms for consistencies, aesthetic looks to make it increasingly fun here is the creative side that is 100% creativity.

1.) Milanote: This is my favourite go to place for all the fun and excite parts of prepping for writing. Milanote can do these things project boards for novels, and different projects. An author can customise their work depending of the genre. For these things I use Milanote for organisation, preparing my outline, character designs and backstory's, story arcs and more.

Click here to sign up with Milanote and enjoy this as much as I do.

2.) Creating documents within my project on Google Doc: Brain Dump I call it but it's brainstorming writing as much as I can down. Even when I'm out using Pinterest pinning stuff for my project I get inspired I use my notepad and take notes. Even though I have notebooks in my page but when taking the bus I don't like the jolt and messy writing.

I bounce from digital notes, to handwriting notes. I also create a to-do list to make sure that I make my consistent goals I make.

Even though I am a indie author it doesn't mean I shouldn't have a schedule, or times when I know I got stuff to do on Project Crossing borderline(s). I haven't decided on the last part of the code name yet.

More to come on my tips and stuff I have already done. Here are some honourable mentions stuff I listen to while working, fun humour.

I try to always start to watch something funny whether it's dark humour or just a playlist these are two things I bounce from.

I guess even the Devil hates Karen's (hehehe).

And my playlist I am making for this long journey.

Content Creator note: After every song on my playlist it goes into the next song yay. I didn't know that. (I love writing sprints helps with the schedule process for word count.)

Congratulations on the rebrand! What an exciting new chapter. Thank you for talking about Milanote, also! I had never heard of it and it sounds like a great tool.
