The Vocal Social Society Community Adventure
Bringing Creators Together By Sharing Their Work
Introduction
The Community Adventure is a way of highlighting communities, stories and creators that we do on a weekly basis.
The music is "Community Of Hope" by Polly Jean Harvey, the title being appropriate for the Vocal Social Society.
How We Do It
Every twelve week we seed a list of the forty-four communities and assign them a week number. There are forty-eight Vocal Communities so each week we take four communities.
We then look for a story by a Vocal Social Society Member in the selected community and share it on that week's thread. We then look for a non Vocal Social Society member and share their story and inform them in the comments and invite them to join the group. This has taken membership to close to 1300 and it is still growing. This is this weeks (April 14th-20th 2024).
This is just one of many threaded pieces that we have in the group to promote themed works by Vocal Creators. We encourage sharing and reading in order to support each other.
It was started as a one-off but has now been running for a long time. The eight new Vocal Communities meens that it stretched from ten to twelve week.
Because we continually reseed it the grouping of Communities are different every time we publish a new one.
Some Communities have a lot less posts than others and sometimes can go a long time without Top Stories. Wheel has not had one for ten months and Potent has not had one for two years, but we always manage to find pieces woth sharing in the community.
Conclusion
The Community Adventure is just one of many themed threads in Vocal Social Society and it is building a bouyant community, bringing in new members on a weekly basis.

Oooo, this would definitely increase the number of members of VSS and get more people to participate in the thread!
Loved the write up and highlight of this great feature of our group!! Sounds like we'll have some new communities to add to the rotation soon once Vocal rolls them out :)
Checked it out and joined, Then I posted my latest poem. Now I am a bit confused do I see the society through Vocal Media or Facebook, I am not too tech that way. I joined through your link where do I access the society from now on.
So, Mikeydred, how does one sign up I read more than I write lately. Can we pick a couple of communities that interest us or? As I am rather daft, it must be laid out very simplistically, lol.
Amazing congratulations, can you read mine also?
