The First Cowboy

Way back in the West before cowboys were famous. They used to call them cow hand. They would call the black helpers cowboys. In those days, everything was divided. There was no integration or sharing of help. The cowboys who weren't boys at all but grown men but because of their color they were called boys. They went through a lot in the West. They almost would not survive but they knew how to survive. They come too far just to give up and turn around. They were valiant men. They were loyal men. They loved their country. And they were willing to die for their cause. And the baddest of them was Jared. Jared was an orphan and adopted by a military captain. Jared was the roughest and meanest. And he was not afraid to fight with some cow hand. He knew how to outsmart them and the law if need be. He was the leader of the cowboys. And they were proud of him. And they knew that they could depend upon him. They swore that they will never leave anyone behind and that when they had to fight that they will fight with honor.

It so happened that Otter, the leader of the cow hand needed a favor from the cowboys. He needed them to go on a journey to find the lost cows. And Otter planned to pay the cowboys but he wanted their word that they will go after the cows. Jared felt it was a trap to destroy their reputation. He feared for his cowboys. He knew that they were plotting to take the whole West from them. But the cowboys needed the job and they always were ready for adventure. Jared said that we will take the job if only some of us could stay behind to watch our stables. And Otter quickly agreed. Jared also raised the price to two to three times because he said the cowboys feared Indians would be around the area and they needed ammunitions. So Otter grudgingly accepted.

Now Jared traveling with the bravest cowboys into the unknown territory. The cowboys and their leader went further into the wilderness day by day according to the map. And some of them begin to complained that it is a trap to take all their stables and horses. And then they heard something and saw him arrow hit Jared's leg. And the cowboys assembled with their guns in a circle. Jared told his second in command to find that Indian immediately or he would shoot him dead. So his second in command took a few men with him and some dogs. The rest of the cowboys assembled around Jared. Jared's had the traveling doctor to pull the arrow out of his leg. And Jared waited all morning and the cowboys came back with nothing. Jared was furious. Then as Jared was travelling along the path many days and weeks, the cowboys hear cows. And they send their dogs and the Indians begin shooting. And Jared yelled Fired. The Indians aimed at the dogs and the cowboys shot them down while their horses runaway. Jared yelled let's get them cows and move fast gone. You see the cows were scared of dogs and the dogs could make them move quickly. By the time you know it, Jared pulled an all nightery. Jared and the cowboys came back just in time.

Otter and his cow hands were harassing the remainder cowboys. And just when Otter begin to move in on Jared's territory. He heard the sound of many animals making noises. And Otter and his cow hands begin to scream, yell and run away. Jared and the cowboys made a scene. Jared told his cowboys to get ready. And the cowboys surrounded the cow hands. Jared had a large shot gun pointed at Otter. And he told Otter that the job is done and now he wants extra pay besides the one that he gave him on the way. Jared told Otter to signaled for someone to get the money from the bank then he would let him go. Otter paid a hundred grand. And Jared told him to leave town with what he had for trying to steal the cowboys' land.
