Challenge

SMARTER HABITS. AI-Generated.
Ladies and Gentlemen, In a world where we often equate intelligence with academic achievements and degrees, it's crucial to remember that being smart extends far beyond the confines of traditional education. True intelligence is not just about having a high GPA or an impressive resume. It encompasses the ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and understand the complexities of the world around us. The good news is that you don’t need to be a genius or spend endless hours in the library to enhance your intellect. With a few simple daily habits, you can cultivate a sharper mind and a more insightful perspective.

Results: The Conviction [an unofficial challenge]
THE RESULTS ARE FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY IN! So, big ol' elephant in the room, this post is so so SO late for a couple of reasons, but the big one is that I was having technological issues, and could not publish the results once they were made. I keep getting a "nested errors" message when trying to publish. As I have created several new drafts trying to get this submitted for review, I've noticed that the system is definitely happier with a shorter post and less links, so I'm going to skip through the fluff, and just write in the Top 3 (literally the BARE MINIMUM), and hopefully I can come back and add the notes and links after. So just... bear with me. (heh...)

Wonderful 'Savages' winners. Thanks to the 64 people who read the story, 23 who left a comment and the 22 who hearted.
I tried and tried to pick just one. They were all so great. Please forgive me, I just could not. So, I picked two to share first place, two to share second place and one third place with two Honorable 'Beastly' wins for the tamer monsters.

No shower? No pay. Content Warning.
If you go out for breakfast and order 2 eggs and you only get one, or if you go to buy three pails of paint and you get 2, and if you go … well, you get the picture — so if you’re living in a care home paying monthly rent for food, medication, laundry, and care, and, because of staffing levels — an industry-wide issue, we’re told — you can’t have a scheduled shower, or cannot get up at a requested time and miss an appointment, should you pay the full rent amount — even if you don’t get everything you pay for?

The August Harvest: A Mikeydred August Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators
Introduction Apologies for the mistake in the title but I'll get it right in September. Every so often I set prompts in the Vocal Social Society and offer a dollar tip to three random creators who take part in it and ask them to share their stories in the comments and on the thread in the group.

Calling All Music Lovers: Results
Time to announce the winners! 😉 First and foremost, thank you so much to every single writer who submitted! This entire challenge was so, so fun, and it was super interesting to see how different we all are in what sort of art and music touches us the most. You guys all gave me such great music to listen to, and your words touched and moved me. Music is a beautifully universal language, and I’m glad we could all pay it our respects in our own way.
