Anywhere?
Anywhere, anywhere. If you are with me. As the sun fell. Peace. Anywhere, anywhere. With her. As I fell. "Anywhere?" She said. "Anywhere," I said. "Anywhere you want. If you are with me. It is peace. No place I want to be. If you are not there." "But," she said, "what if there came a day you want to walk?" "That day will not come," I said. "I want you to be with me. With no end." Day to day, she was with me. Any day, any place, peace was with her. But the war came. Blood fell, and so we had to walk. "Anywhere?" She said. "Anywhere," I said. "Anywhere you want. If you are with me." Day to day. Walk to walk. Sun fell. Day came. Blood fell. Peace was with her. Peace was with me. Anywhere. Anywhere. As the sun fell. Peace was there. Peace was with her. For her, I had to let her go. So she was free. As they caught me. I was at peace. As she was at peace. "Anywhere?" they asked. "Anywhere," I said. She was anywhere, they were not. Caught, yes. I was. But at peace, yes. Anywhere, anywhere.

Vote Here for Your Favorite Dumb Law Story
Harry Potter’s birthday has come and gone, but only a pittance of votes have been cast. I can’t help thinking this is due to my vast unpopularity, but please don’t deprive other creators from receiving votes for their challenge entries, all fantastic stories related to absurd laws. In hopes of the entrants receiving more votes (more entries than votes as of now), I’m extending the voting period until it at least breaks even.

All "Raise Your Glass To America" Toasts
My bimonthly unofficial challenge fell on July, and what could be better than to put out a challenge for a celebratory toast to America for its 250-year anniversary of independence! I've had a lot of fun reading the entries, ranging from pure celebratory and patriotic toasts to tongue-in-cheek wishes for the country to correct its current course.

Oblivion: riddle solved
I wondered , for a while, if I hadn't made this challenge a little too challenging by its obscurity. But of course, several very creative and perceptive Vocalites soon began to piece the puzzle together. In so doing, many of the ideas offered were of such inventiveness, and oh so close to the character (Simon) in the story, that they have generated some fabulous ideas for story line and character development. They have also given me the inspiration and, more importantly, the impetus, to get the story back on track. As some may recall, I recently published a piece about progress with the story stalling:

"Geek Out! Upside Down" — Unofficial Challenge
Last Update: Submissions are now closed. Thank you, everyone, so much for playing! I foresee that it will take about two weeks to go through all the entries and figure out the winners (my partner just started a new job and has less free time).

Anywhere II
You saw me dance in the lake, down moon from the sky. The glow on my hair, light in my eyes, fire in my hips. Wet, by the shore, you took my hand. The kiss, soft—me in your eyes, your lips on my lips, your hand in my hair, the sky in my eyes. I saw the moon in your hand, the world in your eyes. I felt the sky in your kiss, the dance of your lips on my lips, the sky and moon in reach. The night was deep, deep as your kiss, the star dance from my eyes to your eyes. The world was there but gone; the wind in a dance on my skin, in my hair. The moon lit your face, your eyes. My eyes, the wet glow of the moon on fire in my kiss, the dance of your hips on my hips, the world on fire in your kiss, the lake of your hips, the dance of the moon. The lake in me on your lips, the glow of the light down deep in your eyes, your kiss. The soft fire of the wind, the wet glow of the lake, the deep night of your eyes, the sky of the world.
