Keeping In Touch On Vocal

Some Observations On Commenting On Vocal Stories

Introduction

I am probably repeating myself in a lot of this, but I feel that it is always good to share what I do, why I do it, and how it can benefit us all. This was a piece I shared last month:

The music is "Thank You For Being A Friend" by Andrew Gold, with a "Golden Girls" tribute video. Hope you can all watch and listen.

Keeping In Touch On Vocal

I always feel I do not give enough support to other Vocal users, which then inflates my imposter syndrome and feelings of guilt. I know you will tell me I do more than enough, and I know that I do more than enough, but for me, more than enough is never enough, if that makes sense.

I spent my birthday weekend in Inverness and it was very nice, but due to the weather I have not enough for a story from the weekend.

One nice thing is that The Ness Guesthouse, where we stayed, have a poem of mine in their breakfast room, which I shared here:

This is the poem:

Also, these wolves in the main street in Inverness may inspire a story as well.

Where The Wolves Are

When I am away on short breaks, I am usually not much on Vocal or Facebook, and when I come back, I feel I need to catch up.

Although I criticised it when it came out (and I still could do without it and use my subscription feed, see below)

I now try and read and comment on what is current on my Home page. That lets people know their story has been read. I appreciate comments, even if they are just emojis and always try to reciprocate; that is my way of keeping in touch.

In my notifications, I saw someone had hearted my "Sleep Now" story, so I went and left a positive comment on one of their poems that they thanked me for, but they did not comment on mine, so if I had not seen the notification, I would not have known they had liked it.

Conclusion

I know there is a bit of Wander in here, but it is mainly to share how I try and support other Vocal Creators with my comments, and I hope that I manage to do enough to make people feel they are supported and valued.

Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate all the support and love you show me.
